This includes providing guided self-help in both 1:1 and group formats, in line with the current Step 2 guidelines.</p><p>Typically for a trainee, the role will see you in base 4 days per week and attending University 1 day per week, although this ratio can vary throughout the academic year and dependent on the University attended. 100% Attendance at the university is mandatory and there is a high volume of academic work within the training year.&nbsp;</p><p>Upon completion of the University course and the Rethink Mental Illness Probationary Period, you will automatically move to a permanent qualified position on AfC Band 5 with associated terms and conditions. <p>You will&nbsp;provide specialist care and treatment to adult male patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). Our service users, many of whom have Acquired Brain Injury and forensic histories, require long term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple difficulties, including high risk behaviour and complex care needs. St Mary's hospital offers a breadth of opportunity and experience for clinical work, &nbsp;with a medium secure and a low secure ward; a Level 2 rehabilitation ward; and an Acute service. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and under the direction and supervision of the Joint Heads of Psychology, you will support the delivery of psychology services across St Mary’s Hospital. In the absence of the Joint Heads, you will act as the primary point of contact between the psychology department and the senior management team.</p>
<p>As the Forensic/ Clinical/ Counselling/ Neuro Psychologist you will have active participation in multidisciplinary team work, ensuring that our service users are fully engaged in their care pathways. It also includes supporting clinical team efforts through both direct interventions and the facilitation of staff training programmes. <p>Thornford Park Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, is an independent 143 bedded hospital set in 23 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire (close to the Hampshire borders).</p>

  <p><strong>Key elements of the job:</strong></p> <p> Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/ carer's who present with emotional and mental health difficulties</p> <p> Provide care-coordination responsibilities for an agreed caseload of children and young people presenting with complex and high-risk mental health issues. </p> <p> There will be a specific focus upon providing specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment.</p> <p> Provide self-harm and safety assessments where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning.</p> <p> Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring routine outcome measures are embedded within clinical practice to demonstrate clinical based improvements for children, young people and parents/carers.</p>  <p>All CAMHS Registered Practitioners hold a generic job description, however specialist skills and responsibilities related to this role will be reflected within a personalised job plan.</p> <p>The qualifications, training &amp; experience required for this role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.</p>

  <p>The post holder will play a key role within the Bedford Mental Health Support Team (MHST), who will have the responsibility for delivering both evidence based and 'Whole schools' approaches to provide mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people.The role will help to develop and deliver a wide range of interventions, projects and system change with the aim of whole school and whole community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. </p>  <p>The Bedford MHST is part of a wider Community Access Service in the locality, where the team are working to reduce health inequalities in communities where these are most prominent.
