  <p>As a CAMHS Clinician you will join a vibrant and experienced multi-disciplinary team and draw on your professional training, skills and experience in providing assessments and a variety of evidence-based interventions for children and young people presenting with a range of mental health difficulties, and their carers and networks. Most of the children and young people we work with have had experiences of adversity and trauma which impact their development, mental health and relationships. We work with children who have a diagnosis of Neurodiversity and learning disability You will need to have an interest in working with this group and an understanding of the impact of Neurodiversity at home and in school setting. You will have a key role in supporting the work of the team in the assessments of children and young people referred, working with carers and young people offering therapeutic and risk management interventions, contribute to our care-coordination and duty system, deliver consultation and training for other professionals working with children and young people in other settings.   <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAMHS Clinician to join the Adolescent Outreach Team (AOT) in Haringey CAMHS as Senior Practitioner. The AOT work with young people, aged 12-18, presenting with acute mental health needs and/or significant levels of risk to self or others. Haringey AOT is a multidisciplinary team, comprising of Psychiatry, Psychology, Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Family Therapists, and other CAMHS Clinicians. The team offers short term intensive support for YP and their families, requiring a holistic assessment and risk formulation and intervention. AOT provides support to young people, and their parents/carers with focus on managing their mental health needs and reduce risk taking behaviour. Clinicians in the AOT work closely with the network of connected professionals, including, schools, children's services and other mental health providers, to promote a young person's emotional wellbeing, safety and recovery. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p> To participate in the AOTs rapid response to urgent cases including assessment, outreach work, monitoring of risk, mental state and medication side effects, and liaising closely with clinicians involved with the case.   <p>We are seeking to recruit two Specialist CAMHS Practitioners, one of the posts will be designated for a candidate from a nursing background. </p> <p>Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Tower Hamlets are seeking clinicians to work in our socially and culturally diverse borough. We want the very best services for our children and young people. That's why we are looking for someone like you</p> <p>Tower Hamlets CAMHS is a busy, innovative and vibrant service with good relationship with our partner agencies in Social Care, Education and 3rd sector. </p> <p>Our main clinic is in Whitechapel, with a second clinic in Limehouse, both of which have excellent transport links.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>These posts are based in our multidisciplinary Emotional and Behavioural Team 2. We aim to deliver timely and comprehensive assessment and treatment service, offering goal-based episodes of care to children and young people and families. Alongside individual case work there are a range of groups such as DBT, NVR parenting and Behaviour Management for parents of children with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties. There are opportunities to have consultations from colleagues to support casework (such as Trauma, Psychotherapy consultations).We also have well established People Participation groups for parents and young people. The service embraces continual improvement and the staff and management team have a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement. </p> <p>Clinicians work in a hybrid model of direct face to face and remote working as appropriate. We are looking for: good communicators with energy, motivation and enthusiasm; the ability to work with individuals and families with complex difficulties and to work effectively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency contexts; flexibility of approach; commitment to evidence-based practice; and the pursuit of the highest possible quality of service.
