Join our dynamic team and take on a pivotal role within our Rehabilitation Pathway, which comprises of Willow Ward, inpatient rehab and The Mental Health Rehabilitation Team, community.</p><p>In this role you will be responsible for providing highly specialised Clinical Leadership across the rehabilitation services in somerset for service users with complex severe and enduring mental health difficulties across the rehabilitation pathway.   <p>You will independently manage complex cases as an autonomous practitioner, applying guidelines, policies, and research, and seeking consultation when needed. You will support capacity monitoring and caseload management within the Rehabilitation Pathway to ensure efficiency and equitable access.</p><p>Responsibilities include providing expert consultancy to staff and professionals on assessment, case formulation, and interventions; delivering specialised psychological assessments and treatments; and participating in multidisciplinary discussions and planning.   <p>We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Mental Health Practitioner / Supervisor (SMHP) to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.</p><p>This is a varied and rewarding role, where you will hold a small clinical caseload of children and young people (CYP) with low to moderate mental health concerns, deliver early interventions in line with the CAMHS model, and provide up to 10 sessions per young person. You will also provide high-quality clinical supervision to Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and trainees, in line with university guidance, and be supported to complete the CYP-IAPT Supervisory Course as part of your role.</p><p>You will act as a key link between education settings and MHST, offering consultation, advice, signposting, and resources to support a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.   <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychological Therapist or Counsellor to join NHS Somerset Talking Therapies Service for Depression and Anxiety, working within either our South Somerset Team (Yeovil/Chard) or our Taunton Team.</p><p>NHS Somerset Talking Therapies is a high-performing service with one of the best recovery rates in the country. We have excellent links with the voluntary sector and secondary care through the Open Mental Health Somerset initiative. As part of our multi-professional workforce in primary care, you will support adults experiencing depression, anxiety and long-term health conditions, offering therapy both face-to-face and via video link. Flexible working opportunities are available.</p><p>Applicants who do not yet hold a Talking Therapies-compliant qualification in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) or Person Centre Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD) will be considered for a Band 6 recruit-to-train position, with full training provided.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul><li><p>Provide evidence-based psychological therapy in line with NHS Talking Therapies standards, including Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) or Person Centre Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD)</p></li><li><p>Deliver individual and group-based interventions both in person and remotely.</p></li><li><p>Undertake triage and assessments, contributing to stepped care pathways.</p></li><li><p>Manage a caseload of up to 18 clinical contacts per week, ensuring timely treatment delivery.</p></li><li><p>Work collaboratively with colleagues across primary care, community mental health and voluntary sector services.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using the IAPTus system.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to clinical governance, service audits, user feedback and evaluations.</p></li></ul>
