<p>You will be joining us at an exciting time as we are developing a new pathway for young adults who present with complex trauma, and you will have a key role in contributing to this service development.&nbsp;There are opportunities for further training relevant to the therapeutic work.</p>

<p>You&nbsp;will provide a clinical service of specialist psychology assessments and interventions to a number of adult service users with&nbsp;acute mental health needs&nbsp;on the ward. You will also provide a specialist clinical perspective in relation to other service users with whom you might not be directly involved. Potters Bar uses a formulation driven and trauma informed model of care.</p>
<p>Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.</p>
<p>As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>As a Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Working autonomously to provide a specialist psychology service to patients as agreed by Consultant Psychiatrist, Therapies Lead, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and in discussion with wider MDT.</li>
    <li>Undertaking specialist assessments.</li>
    <li>Providing specialist interventions according to formulations based on an appropriate conceptual framework, NICE guidelines, evidence from research, and in accordance with the wider MDT formulation and interventions.</li>
    <li>Be involved in running therapeutic groups on the ward as agreed.</li>
    <li>Continually monitor risk of all patients for whom there is direct contact, or regarding which the post holder receives relevant information, ensure acute risk is managed, liaise with MDT (and in particular responsible psychiatrist) regarding risk, and update electronic record including risk assessment as required.</li>
    <li>Ensuring that all clinical work is adequately recoded in the electronic patient record.</li>
    <li>Attending ward rounds (and other MDT meetings), case conferences, CPAs as required, and provide reports in advance for these in accordance with local procedures.</li>
    <li>Preparing clinical; reports as required, e.g. assessment reports, discharge summaries.</li>
    <li>Liaising with internal and external colleagues as required</li>
    <li>Completing all recording and reporting tasks associated with clinical work.</li>
    <li>Facilitating ‘reflective practice’ sessions for the ward-based staff as agreed within the psychological therapies team and in discussion with wider MDT.&nbsp;Please note that the reflective practice sessions take place at 7:30am and 7:30pm to cover day and night ward-based staff.   <p>We are seeking to recruit an experienced CAMH/CMHS practitioner to join the Tower Hamlets Education Wellbeing Service (THEWS).</p> <p>THEWS is a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) established following the government Green Paper: Transforming Children &amp; Young People's Mental Health Provision. The service has undergone recent expansion. </p> <p>The three core functions of a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) are:</p> <ol>  <li>Delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people (CYP) with mild-to-moderate mental health problems.</li>  <li>Supporting the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce, develop and deliver the whole school/college approach.</li>  <li>Giving timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help CYP to get the right support and stay in education.</li> </ol>

  <p>The role involves delivering all three MHST functions.   <p>Oxleas are seeking to recruit to a highly motivated, Band 8a clinical/counselling psychologist or CBT therapist to join our Greenwich team as Maternity Cover.It is an exciting time to join the team as it is a burgeoning and innovative field for perinatal psychology. Our Perinatal team offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in both adult mental health and also to develop skills in parent infant and family work. It is an ideal opportunity for psychologist with an interest in attachment, developmental psychology, infant mental health and working with family systems.</p> <p>The trust wide service is based at Queen Mary's hospital and consists of a multidisciplinary team of professionals including consultant psychiatrists, specialist perinatal nurses, clinical psychologists, CBT therapists, nursery nurses and OTs. We offer a community service for pregnant and postnatal women with severe and complex mental health difficulties. The team has close links with other services, including IAPT, secondary care mental health teams and maternity as well as third sector organisations. We work collaboratively with other services (eg maternity service and health visiting) and with experts by experience to continue to provide high quality care and are committed to ensure excellent outcomes for women and their families.</p>

  <p>Main Clinical Duties;</p>
<p>The main clinical work undertaken is to provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention for mothers and their babies and families in the community. The post holder will also offer clinical supervision to more junior staff and trainees.</p>
<p>The post holder will be involved in delivering evidence-based individual and group-based interventions. The psychological therapies team include clinical and counselling psychologists, as well as CBT therapists. The successful applicant will be part of a friendly and supportive team. There is an established reflective practice space for the whole team as well as regular individual supervision provided by the senior psychologist.   <p>Community Mental Health Services have undergone widespread innovative transformation. North London Foundation NHS Trust is at the forefront of this transformation, developing a more holistic, recovery oriented, biopsychosocial approach to supporting people with mental health difficulties, in partnership with primary care, other community NHS providers and the voluntary sector. The aim is to build support systems that reach the whole mental health population with a focus on prevention and sustained recovery delivered by multi-agency collaboration. Each population unit is based on the footprint of a Primary Care Network (PCN), bringing together NHS, voluntary sector, peer support and community organisations. These relationships will be central to the new community mental health model.Clinical Associate Psychologists are an innovative role in mental health services, that are core to this community transformation and offering high quality clinical care to the Camden borough.We have an opportunity for a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist (Band 6) to join our South Camden Core Team on a full-time basis. They will join a team of Senior Counselling Psychologist and Senior Clinical Psychologist, CBT therapists as well complex emotional needs psychologists and structured clinical management practitioners, all of whom are linked to the multi-disciplinary team, GPs and voluntary services sector.Interested applicants are encouraged to make contact for an informal conversation.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The CAP role is central to the team's psychological provision, with opportunities for group interventions, 1:1 therapy using a Structured Clinical Management model and other evidence based approaches, alongside joint assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation.</p> <p>There will be opportunities for leadership, research, service development and consultation to the system, which will involve liaising with professionals involved in the in care of the individual. The teams work closely as MDTs, with weekly clinical meetings where complex cases can be thought about and MDT formulations can be developed.
