If so, join Elysium Healthcare as a Lead Psychologist where you will lead on the development and delivery of psychology services at Spring Wood Lodge, a 25-bed rehabilitation and PICU inpatient service for adult women.</p>
<p>You will be leading the psychology department and working alongside members of the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT), to offer patient-centred care, implementing daily, meaningful activities which can support recovery.</p>
<p>This entails competently assessing unwell service users, including completing assessments, planning and implementing person-centred interventions and the ongoing evaluation of their care and treatment.</p>
<p>You will be required to oversee the provision of the psychology service, as well as supporting the team in facilitating assessment and formulation interventions and psychology groups in collaboration with the team.</p>

<p><strong>As a Lead Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Provide psychological assessments based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, integration and communication of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological testing, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users, carers and other relevant stakeholders involved in the service user’s care and recovery.</li>
    <li>Lead on formulation of plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of service users’ mental health and broader psychosocial needs utilising appropriate, evidence-based clinical frameworks</li>
    <li>Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.</li>
    <li>Develop and manage groupwork programmes and innovative therapeutic approaches. To ensure that appropriate outcome measures are in place.</li>
    <li>Ensure that Psychology practices in the specified area of service maintains the highest standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards at all times.</li>
    <li>Supports in the development and delivery of training programmes to aid the development of staff teams in a given service area.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you'll need:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate in either Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology or the British Psychological Society’s Stage 2 training in Forensic Psychology, enabling registration with the HCPC as as Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with service users with complex needs, including but not limited to neurodivergence, complex trauma, learning difficulties, personality disorder and/or who have transferred from CAMHS to adult services for the first time relevant to the population in the service area.</li>

multi-disciplinary team meetings, group supervision &amp; links in with the
CYPMHS teams. The SCP leads key meetings,

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The West York Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) are looking to appoint a Band 8a Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist to work as part of our multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>Applicants will be required to have post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS and be registered in as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC. Significant experience and competencies in delivering and supervising evidence based psychological intervention for SMHP is also essential.</p> <p>Although this post is advertised as an 8a post, we are willing to consider applications from Psychologists who do not yet meet the essential criteria for a Band 8a, but who would be interested in undertaking the post at a Band 7 initially, with a supportive plan for development and progression in due course.</p> <p>We welcome applications from staff who are currently coming to the end of their training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology that on successful completion will achieve the required qualification and registration with HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist.   <p>A key part of the role is to provide direct clinical work, promote psychological thinking with all members of the team by helping staff to develop formulations for clients, offering supervision and joint work with the team, supporting staff wellbeing and providing training in psychological theory and its implementation.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have significant experience of working psychologically with people who experience severe mental health problems and competencies in an evidence based psychological therapy for SMHP.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Trainees attend the University of Sheffield on Tuesdays and Wednesdays where they are taught the CBT protocols required to treat clients effectively. For the remaining three days a week, trainees are employed to implement the taught CBT protocols with clients through divided time between face-to-face clinics based in Leeds and remote clinics either working from home or from services based in Leeds.

You will be competent and familiar with risk assessment and case management. You will need to be organised with your time management, work towards restrictive deadlines and have resilience in adapting to the changing needs of the service where the client is at the centre of therapuetic decision making.

You will need to commit to the academic and clinical requirements of the course. Progression through the training involves working towards a clinical caseload of 4 clients per day. In addition, this includes completing academic work outside of your clinical working hours such as in your own personal time. This expectation is set by NHSE training curriculum and BABCP requirements. You will be required to record your therapy with clients for the training requirements; and to share the recorded therapy for critique feedback through regular clinical and group supervision.
