  <p>Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) support children, young people and their families that have links to identified school settings. Each designated MHST will work in collaboration with schools and other agencies who cover a population of up to 7,000 children and young people.Trailblazer sites were established in Kent in 2019, with the service aim to cover 50% of the schools across Kent and Medway by 2026. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Essex SET MID CAMHS has an opportunity for 2 qualified professionals to step into an established role within a diverse and experienced team.</p>
<p>The Mid Essex CAMHS team has a base in Chelmsford and covers the surrounding areas including Braintree, Maldon, Southminster and Halstead. The successful applicants would be based in Chelmsford but expected to cover our satellite clinics in Braintree, Halstead and Maldon.</p>
<p>The CAMHS Practitioner role supports the development and implementation of a range of interventions within the Thrive Model as indicated by SET CAMHS and NICE guidance e.g CBT, DBT, trauma informed.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will demonstrate thorough assessment skills including care planning and risk formulation. You will be able to provide a variety of one to one and group treatments and include the use of outcome measures and goal setting to track progress. Experience of working within multi-agency frameworks would be advantageous. This post would suit clinicians with good experience in working with young people who present with complexity and significant levels of risk, and can work with the wider systems including education, social care and family/carers.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>Skilled in assessment, formulation, management and delivery of NICE recommended treatments to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties in the community.</li>  <li>Experienced in assessing / managing clinical risk, drawing on dynamic case formulation skills and working collaboratively with service users to agree their treatment and safety plans.</li>  <li>Possess a current Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapist, Counselling, Psychotherapy or equivalent professional qualification and be skilled/experienced in the delivery of evidence-based approaches to therapy (including DBT/CBT/Systemic/trauma informed). </li>  <li>Have knowledge, understanding and experience of working with the legal frameworks which relate to the care and treatment of children and young people, with particular reference to Children Act 1989, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended in 2007.</li>  <li>Possess the ability to work independently as well as being a collaborative and supportive member of the Multi-disciplinary Team and have an understanding and appreciation of the networks that surround young people in a modern age, especially in relation to mental health and mental health crisis.</li> </ul>   <h3>About us</h3>
  <p><strong>Starting with NELFT</strong>NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.</p> <p><strong>Probationary Period </strong>This post will be subject to a probationary period. This includes working collaboratively with colleagues to create, initiate and test treatment plans. </li><li>The post holder will be responsible for collaboratively working on and transforming rehabilitation services to meet the needs of High View and its Clients. </li><li>They will provide support within the Psychology team, working with the Therapy Team Leads to support the initiatives of the organisation, driving a culture of safety, clinical effectiveness and continued improvement for the Client experience. </li><li>The post holder is expected to ensure all the activities undertaken within the Psychology services are subject to robust governance arrangements. </li><li>The role is jointly responsible for the development for the therapy staff, working in partnership with the Therapy Team Leads. </li></ul><p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a Consultation psychologist qualification.
