Would you like to work within a primary care setting in a friendly, dedicated team?</p> <p>Dorset Steps2Wellbeing, a NHS Talking Therapies (NHS TT) service, are looking to recruit Trainee High Intensity (CBT) Therapists to support adults with common mental health problems. Successful candidates will undertake a 12 month training course at the University of Reading, learning to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to patients with depression and anxiety disorders. Successful applicants will attend training with the University two days a week and apply their newly learnt skills to a caseload of patients three days a week (including an out of hours clinic).</p> <p>The University provides aLevel 2 accredited course with BABCP. Upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for provisional accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP.</p> <p>All our staff are expected to work flexibly, providing a combination of face to face and remote sessions. You will be required to attend 100% of training days with the University.</p> <p>On successful completion of the course, trainees enter our preceptorship program receiving enhanced supervision, peer support meetings and triaged caseload, leading to a permanent band 7 post.</p> <p><strong>The course starts in February 2026.   <p>We are looking for a creative, forward thinking and motivated Systemic Family Therapist to join our friendly and professional multi-disciplinary Emotional &amp; Behavioural CAMHS Team based in Dunstable, within the South Bedfordshire Specialist CAMHS Service. Our team is inclusive and we consciously think about the varying contexts we work within (i.e. racial, cultural and socio-economic factors).   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post-holder will have experience of working in CAMHS. You will be offering assessment and therapeutic treatment to young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties and their families/carers, including generic CAMHS assessments as needed. You will be joining with our team's existing systemic psychotherapist and co-facilitating family therapy clinics and groups as appropriate (e.g. NVR and parent sessions), potentially also working alongside therapists from other local CAMHS teams. You will involve parent/carers, schools and other agencies as required. In addition, the post holder will offer consultations. You will require a high degree of professional autonomy, organization, and self management, with the ability to work well in a team.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Manage own caseload and to be responsible for own time management and balance of clinical work and non clinical tasks.</p> <p>You will facilitate the improvement and development of the full range of functions (cognitive, sensory, physical, interpersonal, and intrapersonal) of complex young people through the provision of Occupational Therapy Assessment and Treatment.</p> <p>Provide specialist knowledge and skills in dealing with the needs of children and young people with additional physical disabilities, challenging behaviour and sensory impairments.</p> <p>The service is entering an exciting period of growth, with new investments and initiatives underway.
