Responsibilities <ul><li>Deliver comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions tailored to the prison setting. Implement ongoing management of mental health needs in line with prison healthcare protocols.</li><li>Administer medication and monitor patient progress, ensuring adherence to established prison guidelines.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, GPs, and prison staff to optimise patient care outcomes.</li><li>Provide support to patients with complex mental health needs, including those with substance misuse issues and safeguarding concerns.</li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with NHS and prison standards.</li><li>Engage in ongoing training and development programmes specific to the prison healthcare environment, enhancing both knowledge and practical skills.</li><li>Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.</li><li>Current and valid prison clearance is essential for consideration in this role.</li><li>Experience working in a prison or secure environment is highly desirable, but not mandatory.</li><li>Demonstrable skills in communication, resilience, and conflict management are a must.</li><li>Ability to work flexibly across the 7-day shift pattern.</li></ul> Qualifications Requirements: RMN with current NMC registration; current prison clearance; experience in a prison or secure environment is desirable.
