Responsibilities <ul><li>Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support plans for students with special needs.</li><li>Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.</li><li>Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify student needs and develop strategies for academic and behavioral improvement.</li><li>Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies or traumatic events.</li><li>Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health topics and effective strategies to support students.</li><li>Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary, maintaining detailed records of assessments and interventions.</li><li>Advocate for students' rights and access to appropriate resources and services.</li><li>Stay current with best practices and developments in school psychology and special education.</li><li>Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing student well-being.</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.</li><li>Valid PA state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.</li><li>Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.</li><li>Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.</li><li>Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment for all students.</li><li>Familiarity with special education law and procedures is a plus.</li><li>Proficiency in using technology and software for assessment and documentation purposes.</li></ul>
