Mental Health Counsellor

<p>If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a fixed term post (maternity cover) in an established setting, then come and work at Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes.</p>

<p>Gateway Recovery Centre is situated in Widnes, close to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas. There are excellent transport links, which allows the town to be reachable for those travelling across the North West.</p>

<p>This role is full time and will be set within a well-established service.&nbsp;Gateway Recovery Centre has 70 beds spread across 6 wards. 3 wards constitute the female service providing high quality care to women with complex emotional needs including history of trauma. The other 3 wards provide care to male patients in an autism specialist unit (Cedar ward), low secure ward (Dove ward) and a ward for older men with complex mental health needs and physical health comorbidities (Ash Ward).</p>
<p>There are currently four consultants within the service to support you, and you will have a dedicated supervisor. You will be supported by a physical health team composed of a practice nurse, physical health assistance practitioner and an enhanced GP service.</p>
<p>There is a one in seven first on-call commitment attached to the role.&nbsp;</p>
<p>There is peer support as you will join a network of associate specialists working across the northwest region. There is a well-received&nbsp;programme of regional weekly CPD education to meet your needs.&nbsp;&nbsp; Attendance at external CPD events such as conferences is actively supported.&nbsp; We will also support you with any desire to work towards Section 12 approval. There are opportunities to network with other Associate Specialists working within Elysium Healthcare.&nbsp;</p>

<p>You will&nbsp;provide specialist care and treatment to adult male patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). Our service users, many of whom have Acquired Brain Injury and forensic histories, require long term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple difficulties, including high risk behaviour and complex care needs. St Mary's hospital offers a breadth of opportunity and experience for clinical work, &nbsp;with a medium secure and a low secure ward; a Level 2 rehabilitation ward; and an Acute service. underpin everything we do with a trauma and recovery framework pioneered by

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Eating Disorder Therapist. The successful applicant will be based within the Integrated Eating Disorder Unit which is a part of CHEDS (CYP Tier 4 CHEDS Eating Disorder Service) within Ancora House in Chester. CHEDS is a regional outpatient service offering evidenced based approaches to 13-18-year-olds who present with an eating disorder and their families / carers. The service provides Tier 4 gatekeeping for young people with eating disorders requiring an inpatient admission across Cheshire and Merseyside. There will be an opportunity for working across the service into our day service programme.</p> <p>Proposed shortlisting date is: 1st of December. Proposed Interview date is: 10th of December</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced therapist with a genuine interest in working with young people with eating disorders and their families. To deliver specialist assessments, group work and evidence-based interventions. We are keen to hear from individuals with relevant training and experience. There is an opportunity for continued professional development within a specialist and well established multi-disciplinary service. There will also be an opportunity for specific eating disorder training.</p> <p>This post is a permanent part time role.</p>
