Qualified Psychologist

<p>Join the team at Gateway Recovery Centre as a Consultant Psychiatrist&nbsp;providing care and treatment for men and women in&nbsp;specialist inpatient, rehabilitation and low secure settings.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Gateway Recovery Centre is situated in Widnes, close to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas. There are excellent transport links, which allows the town to be reachable for those travelling across the Northwest.</p>
<p>Gateway Recovery Centre has 72 beds spread across 6 wards.3 wards constitute the women’s service with one acute ward and two level 2 rehabilitation ward for women with high support needs. The other 3 wards provide care to men in specialist rehabilitation unit for men with ASD (Cedar ward), low secure ward (Dove ward) and a rehabilitation ward for older men with complex mental health needs and physical health comorbidities (Ash Ward).</p>
<p>The team consists currently of 4.5 consultants, and you will deliver clinical care to a dedicated caseload. You will be supported by a practice nurse and an enhanced GP service to meet patients’ physical healthcare needs. You will have support from a dedicated supervisor and a medical secretarial team. Specialty doctor cover is available for the acute ward.</p>
<p>You will have access to excellent CPD, and the support of a large peer group of enthusiastic and high-calibre consultants from varied sub-specialties.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

  <p>We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Criminal Justice Engagement Worker to join our team, working with individuals within the criminal justice system to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference by addressing substance misuse and supporting individuals on their journey to recovery.</p>
<p>In this role, you will engage with service users across Custody Suites, Prisons, and Probation services, facilitating harm reduction initiatives, promoting visible recovery, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes. Your work will focus on reducing drug and alcohol-related harm, building recovery capital, and ensuring continuity of care through scheduled appointments and partnership working.</p>
<p>This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while contributing to a safer and healthier community.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>Provision of drug &amp; alcohol treatment to Service Users who are engaged in the criminal justice system within the locality.</li>
<li>Provide in reach to a range of criminal justice settings to engage offenders in drug treatment</li>
<li>Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.</li>
<li>Supporting service users through their treatment journey</li>
<li>Engaging service users with wider Inclusion Community Services as suitable</li>
