You will use your psychology and therapeutic counselling skills to encourage people to engage with the recovery process and make positive changes to their lives. You will work closely with your team and partner organisations to develop recovery services that engage, support and guide people away from addiction towards improved wellbeing free of drug/alcohol misuse and crime.You may work with colleagues to deliver a variety of wellbeing interventions designed to promote positive behaviour change. Delivery may include group work, as well as structured and non-structured one-to-one work.You will help people access mutual aid support in the community and get involved in activities that will support their recovery. As a PWP, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, low-intensity cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, aligning with Step 2 IAPT guidelines. Key Responsibilities Conduct person-centred assessments, manage referrals, and support individuals in their self-management and recovery journeys. Deliver guided self-help in both 1:1 and group settings, drawing from CBT principles. Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, attending meetings, and contributing to step-up and step-down arrangements. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conduct specialist CBT assessments for individuals with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and OSFED.</li> <li>Deliver evidence-based CBT interventions, including CBT-E (Enhanced CBT for Eating Disorders).</li> <li>Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, dietitians, and social workers.</li> <li>Develop individualised treatment plans tailored to the needs of service users.</li> <li>Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.</li> <li>Provide psychoeducation and support to service users, families, and carers.</li> <li>Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding protocols.</li> <li>Contribute to service development, training, and supervision of junior staff or trainees.</li> <li>Liaise with external agencies, including GPs, community mental health teams, and inpatient services.</li> </ul> Essential Requirements: <ul> <li>Accredited with BABCP (or working towards accreditation).</li> <li>Postgraduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or equivalent.</li> <li>Experience working with individuals with eating disorders in a clinical setting.</li> <li>Strong understanding of CBT-E and NICE guidelines for eating disorders.</li> <li>Excellent risk assessment and safeguarding knowledge.</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with service users and families.</li> </ul>
