The successful applicant will deliver occupational therapy interventions as part of the MDT at Ethelbert Road inpatient rehabilitation unit, 6 sessions (3 days) per week and provide occupational therapy leadership to inpatient and community rehabilitation for the remaining 4 sessions (2 days) as part of the wider leadership team.</p> <p>The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).</p>

  <p>The clinical lead occupational therapist is a highly experienced occupational therapist within the multidisciplinary care team.</p> <p>You will lead in identifying, developing and providing the Occupational Therapy contribution within the East Rehabilitation pathway, encompassing inpatient and community rehabilitation,in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.</p> <p>Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for service users within one of the inpatient rehabilitation units; and manage a defined caseload of complex service users with occupational needs using evidence-based, service user-centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.</p> <p>Be responsible for providing clinical leadership for junior staff and students through means of supervision, appraisal and training, and managing the quality and performance of the occupational therapy team.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in Acute Mental Health. You will be working in a very dynamic environment, which will provide you with many opportunities to learn and develop your therapeutic and systemic skills. There will also be an opportunity to be creative and innovative within the role, bringing new ideas, incorporating evidence-based practice into how the service is delivered.</p> <p>Within the ward environment, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in the application of psychology not just at an individual level, but at the team and group level. A strong interest in pursuing consultation and leadership roles and developing skills in assessment and practice within a group context is desired. Running reflective practice sessions for staff, consider your position in the team and wider systemic issues, together with an interest in developing the skills to intervene via a range of formats, e.g., ward groups, staff consultation, families/carers and the MDT.</p> <p>You will be well supported through regular clinical and managerial supervision as well as training to develop both professionally and personally within the role. <p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
    <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
