  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Manage own caseload and to be responsible for own time management and balance of clinical work and non clinical tasks.</p> <p>You will facilitate the improvement and development of the full range of functions (cognitive, sensory, physical, interpersonal, and intrapersonal) of complex young people through the provision of Occupational Therapy Assessment and Treatment.</p> <p>Provide specialist knowledge and skills in dealing with the needs of children and young people with additional physical disabilities, challenging behaviour and sensory impairments.</p> <p>The service is entering an exciting period of growth, with new investments and initiatives underway. This role will evolve alongside the development of our service; initially, you may support existing teams while new structures are implemented. All positions are pan-Dorset and will involve having a temporary base during the transitional phase.   <p>This post provides a fantastic opportunity to lead the integrated schools pathway in Luton, forming innovative and forward-looking services that are developing substantially across Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS. In Luton this includes an established CAMH School Liaison Team, our Wave 2, 5 and 9 Mental Health Support Teams (MHST), and our upcoming Wave 14 Team in January 2026. Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper for Young People's Mental Health. The post holder will lead the development of a wide range of targeted interventions, projects and system change with the aim of delivering whole school and community approaches to supporting young people's mental health. We aim to develop an integrated neighbourhood-based core offer to all schools across the locality, and an enhanced offer where there is greater need (such as in communities with greater health inequalities) over the next two years. </p>

You will work as part of committed and creative team, which offers innovative, holistic and person-aligned care and support to people with palliative and end life care needs, and to their families and care givers.</p><p>The post is part of the Patient and Family Counselling team, which contributes to the provision of palliative and end of life care services. <h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Luton and Bedfordshire Liaison and Diversion Service (L&amp;DS) are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Senior Assistant Psychologist to join our team on an 18 month fixed term contract. The post will be for 30 hours per week. Weekly supervision will be provided by a Clinical Psychologist.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate for the post will have experience of working in a mental health care setting as an Assistant Psychologist. Previous experience of working with forensic clients or hard to reach clients would be desirable. In terms of skills, we are particularly looking for applicants who are confident, resilient, reflective, willing to learn, and able to operate with a high level of autonomy. We are also looking for applicants who embrace and have experience of collaborative working with partner agencies, service users and carers, and who have a keen interest in working with police, probation and other public sector organisations.</p>
