<p>The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD. The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values Psychology, Psychotherapy and the Arts Psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders and structured clinical management.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Variety:</strong> You will have the chance to work with a wide range of complex presentations including affective disorders, psychosis, and personality, and using a variety of methods and approaches. With assessments, individual therapies, group therapies, family interventions, MDT working, complex case meetings, indirect interventions using a Positive Behaviour Support framework, and supervision all part of the role, it's safe to say that no two days will feel the same! Many of our Psychologists in acute services find that the switching really helps to stay energised.</p>
<p><strong>Fast-paced:</strong> You will get to be reflexive; formulating problems, identifying with teams when attempted solutions create a new or different problem, and supporting teams to remove barriers to discharge and supporting people to have an independent and personally meaningful life outside of hospital. Expect your day to fly by!</p>
<p><strong>Autonomy:</strong> Acute Inpatient Psychologists can personalise and tailor the role of Psychology for their wards.</p>
<p><strong>Leadership:</strong> You will be able to develop the role of Psychology and influence the direction of the wider team in an environment designed for recovery and safety. <p>We are looking for a compassionate and motivated <strong>Lived Experience Tutors</strong> to join our team at <strong>Buckinghamshire Recovery College</strong>. This is a unique opportunity to co-produce and co-deliver educational, creative, and wellbeing-focused courses that support individuals in their mental health and recovery journeys.</p>
<p>You should have lived experience or have cared for someone with mental health challenges.</p>
<p>This role is delivered through NHS Professionals, and you be subject to their training and pre-employment checks. Following the interview process (with your permission) your details will be shared with NHSP, and you will go through their checks.</p>
<p>Work will typically be roughly up to 15 hours per week on a part-time basis though this will shift and change dependent on service needs. As part of these hours you will be required to attend service meetings.</p>

  <p>The department is based in two new eye units at both St Helier and Epsom Hospitals. It is a forward looking department with 13 consultants including 3 with an interest in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. There are close links with the Royal Marsden hospital and the St Georges Hospitals and we are part of the MDT team providing care for these oncology and neuro-surgical patients. The department also provides eye carefor children and young people at the Tadworth Children's Trust. The department is supported by 8 WTE orthoptists, 2 WTE optometrists and 6WTE technician staff. We provide in house contact lens service and low vision service. We have the benefit of state of the art ophthalmic imaging systems including Optos and OCT and FFA imaging which have allowed us to transform our pathways.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for an experienced Orthoptist to join our Ophthalmology team and lead the Orthoptic and Optometry clinical service across Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post holder will be responsible for leading our team of orthoptists and for providing expert knowledge in the assessment of visual function and ocular motility disorders in all age groups, low vision services and stroke visual rehabilitation. They will manage our team of Optometrists and imaging technicians and be overall responsible for the ophthalmic imaging. The successful candidate will also provide a school vision screening service for the residents of Merton and support Ophthalmology clinical research. The post holder will ensure provision of and be accountable for, the delivery of an efficient, high quality and caring Orthoptic and Optometry clinical service across Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, which meets service and client requirements and encompasses a wide range of specialist expertise and client groups.</p>

  <p>This post is available for RMHN's, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.</p>
<p>The post holder will undertake screening , triage and in some cases full assessment of new referrals to the PCMHT. This will include urgent assessments of 17 year old or rising 18 year olds at crisis point and short and medium term care co-ordination.</p>
<p>The post holder will offer urgent assessment slots as part of the urgent care pathway.</p>
<p>The post holder will be a care coordinator, assessing and treating and advising and signposting a specific group of young people in the team working in collaboration with the multiple disciplinary teams (MDT).</p>
<p>The post holder will contribute to the shaping of this service together with various clinical services and young people and their families.</p>

  <p>Participate as a multi-disciplinary team member in the assessment of children and young people referred via CAMHS, primary care and Slam services</p>
<p>Ensure that all recording and reporting of client contact are accurate, up to date, of good quality and within PCMHT and professional requirement standards of record keeping. To collect &amp; collate information about individual clinical activity on ePJS</p>
<p>Work with the team and clients to maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Work to assure the quality of care through achieving high operational standards in clinical systems</p>
<p>To maintain and ensure good professional standards and attitudes towards the care and treatment of children, young people and their families</p>
<p>To link with other statutory and voluntary agencies and professionals as well as other CAMHS Teams in terms of referrals and joint work. Maintain good relationships and clear lines of communication with other professional agencies and departments, providing specialist advice and support where appropriate</p>
<p>Contribute to the effective functioning of the team and service through attendance at relevant meetings, taking responsibilities within the service as appropriate and negotiated with the line manager.</p>
<p>To have responsibility to ensure you achieve positive clinical outcomes for young people as they transition through the services and that these outcomes are evidenced by performance indicators such as activity data, targets and quality measures.</p>
