  <p>An exciting opportunity for a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist to join our established Specialist Psychotherapy Service at BSMHFT, to support us in delivering and developing high quality therapy services for patients with complex attachment trauma and emotional needs. This post is open to professionals with a core mental health profession EG: psychology (clinical or counselling), art psychotherapy, mental health nursing or related field with further training in and experience of providing psychodynamic psychotherapy.</p>
<p>We are a well-established service that has been providing therapeutic services for over thirty years, for people with complex and enduring emotional difficulties. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of people committed to providing and maintaining high quality and compassionate psychological care and supporting staff in applying psychodynamic ideas to their work through the provision of supervision, consultation and training. Continuing professional development and the opportunity to learn from experience is highly valued in this service.</p>
<p>We are looking for someone who has a training and experience in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and an understanding and an interest in Compassion Focused Therapy and who is willing to engage in further training to meet the needs of the service. Any further training required will be supported by SPS. The post offers the opportunity to be involved in both individual and group therapy.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>A psychodynamic approach underpins all of our work at SPS. We provide group and individual long term psychotherapy for up to years. This includes a compassion focused group psychotherapy programme, a therapeutic day programme, analytic group work and individual psychotherapy. We also provide supervision, reflective practice , consultation, link work and training to staff across the trust and you would be expected to contribute to these activities as needed with a focus on the clinical provision in SPS.</p>
<p>As a member of the team you will be expected to contribute to projects that are aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of our service to our diverse Birmingham population.</p>
<p>You will be supported in this post through clinical supervision, reflective practice and line management arrangements. This position will be based at Callum Lodge in Winson Green and Coach House at the Uffculme site, although travel to other sites on occasion may be required.</p>
<p>There will be opportunities to work with colleagues across the trust on specific projects and there is an option to be part of the on call rota system.</p>

Band 7 Trainee Psychotherapist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. There are opportunities to apply and develop your time-limited psychological skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CFT, CAT and brief psychodynamic therapy.</p>

  <p>We see clients with a range of complex mental health problems including CPTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and moderate/severe presentations of depression and anxiety. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall).   <p><strong>Band 6 Specialist Psychological Practitioner (2-year fixed term position) at Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service - includes working at our step-down accommodation based at Balsall Heath</strong></p> <p>An exciting job opportunity has arisen to recruit a Specialist Psychological Practitioner to join our established psychology team to support the delivery of a 2-year pilot, community step-down accommodation for women being discharged from secure care. This pilot aims to extend the inpatient treatment model into a community residential setting to promote recovery beyond discharge, supporting timelier discharges and reducing the need for future admission. The role will provide opportunities for both inpatient and community work, and to be involved in service innovation.</p> <p>Clinically the role will involve working with women presenting with complex trauma, personality disorder and mental illness, both directly through the provision of specialist psychological interventions and indirectly through supervision, reflective practice, consultation and training. In relation to the pilot step-down accommodation, you would contribute significantly to the development of the psychological pathway and evaluation of this. Working across both the rehabilitation ward and the step-down accommodation, the post holder will have the opportunity to develop strong therapeutic relationships with services users, providing relational security as they take the next step in their recovery journey.</p>

  <p>The role will involve working within the WSBS at Ardenleigh and at our step-down accommodation at Balsall Heath and, as such, there will be an expectation to travel between sites across the week. You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a registered clinical/forensic psychologist. In your role you will provide psychological support for service users transitioning from inpatient care to community integration. The post holder will support the direct assessment, formulation, and delivery of a range of individual and group interventions addressing emotional, behavioural, and relational factors to improve service user' recovery and wellbeing.</p> <p>We are looking for people from a range of diverse backgrounds with an interest in working with, supporting, and enhancing the lives of people who have experienced adverse life experiences, including trauma and neglect, and have a history of offending behaviour. This post is best suited to a professional with a background in teaching, counselling, social work, family work or nursing, who has some prior training and experience of delivering psychological interventions. Prior experience of providing support or supervision to a staff group would also be desirable.
