<p>We have an incredibly exciting and rare opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our Community Mental Health Team, supporting those with mental health difficulties who live in the North area of Lincoln.</p>
<p>The role is 15 hours per week, and you will work alongside a friendly multidisciplinary team consisting of Community Mental Health Nurses, Recovery Practitioners, Nursing Associates, Community Support Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Admin staff. You will also be working alongside Neighbourhood Teams, Integrated Placement Based Teams, Adult Social Care, GP surgeries and other partner organisations to ensure the best outcomes for patients and carers.</p>
<p>The candidate will be committed to a Recovery focused way of working, inherent within the team culture, empowering and instilling hope in our service users.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, compassionate, positive thinking and self-motivated individual with lived experience of mental ill health and experience of using services. Peer Workers use their lived experience to offer emotional support, promote social inclusion, share coping mechanisms, and support service users to navigate mental health services.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Peer Worker training course. They will be a member of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside mental health professionals.</p>
<p>Peer Support Workers will be fully supported in their role through regular 1-to-1 supervision within the team line management structure. They will also have access to training opportunities to support their professional development.</p>
<p>As a Peer Support Worker, you will use your experiences to offer understanding and support in linking with appropriate services/agencies, promote choice and inspire hope and future opportunities. The role will include offering support to patients and their supporters (inc. friends and family) in the community by enabling and assisting them to meet daily health, social care and well-being needs.</p>
<p>The post holder is responsible for building and maintaining professional working relationships with others in the multi-disciplinary team, encouraging open channels of communication and actively participating in the creation of an open and safe working environment that promotes shared learning, growth and development.</p>

			<p>Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist who wants to help shape mental health care for women across different levels of security? Join The Farndon Unit, a friendly, committed and long established Mental Health Service.</p>
<p>Our hospital rated good across all domains by the CQC, is a small friendly unit, that provides care for up to 46 women across 3 low secure wards (26 beds), one level 2 rehabilitation ward (12 beds) and our new psychiatric rehabilitation ward (8 beds) aimed at individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and comorbid mental illness.&nbsp; </p>
<p>You will join 2 full time psychiatrists, an associate specialist and an established multidisciplinary team at the Farndon Unit and act as a Responsible Clinician for the 8 inpatients on the newly developed rehabilitation ward and up to 8 patients on our existing level 2 rehab service.&nbsp; You will have the support of an associate specialist working across both wards, a full multidisciplinary team, a personal assistant, a CPA Co-ordinator and a MHA Co-ordinator. </p>
<p>You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing trauma therapy and utilises positive behavioural support to empower and assist service users in their recovery and have access to a supportive peer group of like-minded professionals to engage and network with, excellent CPD prospects, as well as a range of benefits and career development opportunities. </p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Working effectively with patients and colleagues to ensure the best care and treatment outcomes</li>
    <li>Driving multidisciplinary care and leading and managing the CPA and ICR process of reviews</li>
    <li>Contributing to service development and governance processes e.g. via quality improvement work</li>
    <li>Building positive relationships with external stakeholders such as ICBs</li>
    <li>Undertaking psychiatric assessments for women referred to the unit to determine if we can best meet their needs</li>
    <li>Providing oral and written evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings</li>
    <li>Delivery of evidence-based treatment approaches in line with NICE guidance</li>

    <li>Participation in our 1 in 8 on-call rota that covers 2 tiers of support to 8 units across the Midlands and Yorkshire regions The on-call is entirely remote and mostly involves telephone support and advice.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful as an applicant you’ll need:</strong></p>
