We’re here for men who have recently been through a mental health crisis—whether they’ve just left hospital or are finding it difficult to stay safe where they currently live. Our house offers a calm, safe environment where residents can take time to stabilise and focus on their wellbeing. We provide therapeutic support to help each person feel ready and confident to return home. Stays are usually up to 10 days, although men who are of no fixed abode (NFA) may stay a little longer if needed.</p><ul>	<li>We’re a non-CQC registered service.</li>	<li>Our team is here day and night, 24/7, every day of the year.</li>	<li>The service is run by Rethink Mental Illness, working closely with AWP, who handle all referrals through their Crisis Teams.</li></ul><p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p><p><strong>Staffing, Leadership &amp; Oversight</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that staff have the correct guidance and support to fulfil their roles and will ensure that a monthly 24/7 rota ensures enough staffing capacity to deliver effective support.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality of Support &amp; Environment</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that a high standard of support is embedded within the service and will promote and support an inclusive environment.</li>	<li>I will ensure that high quality support planning, risk management, outcomes measurements are in place for all residents in the service at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Referrals &amp; Risk Management</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will review all referrals into the service and ensure these are appropriate for the service remit and that risks are manageable during the residents stay. I will ensure that all referral documentation is received.</li></ul><p><strong>Partnership &amp; Multi-Agency Working</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will work closely with AWP Crisis Teams and ensure highly effective working relationships are in place at a management and front line level to ensure the crisis house provides the right standard of support to residents using a multi-agency approach.</li></ul><p><strong>Activities &amp; Resident Engagement</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure activities offered to residents in the house and externally are varied and meet residents needs and demand and are within agreed budgets.</li></ul><p><strong>Incident Management &amp; Learning</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will manage and review all incidents and severe untoward incidents that occur at the crisis house ensuring that learning is adopted and shared as needed with AWP and the commissioners.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>As a Healthcare Support Worker, the majority of your time will be spent engaging with and getting to know the service users on the ward. You will develop the ability to recognise signs and symptoms of mental health illness and, as a key member of the multi-professional team--which includes Nurses, Doctors, and Occupational Therapists--you will contribute to collaborative care planning and implementation.</strong></p>
<p>Although we are a mental health unit, we place equal emphasis on physical health care and monitoring. The role of the Healthcare Support Worker is vital in ensuring that daily wellbeing and care needs are met, including monitoring clinical vital signs.</p>
<p>Successful applicants will also be required to undertake and complete a <strong>Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA)</strong> course. This training enables staff to build the skills needed to de-escalate service users during peaks of distress, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for all.</p>

  <p>We are looking for a Band 6 Clinical Practitioner - Eating Disorders, to join the North Somerset CAMHS Eating Disorder Team.</p> <p>The team is a rated by its staff as very supportive and offers good development opportunities and has strong historic links to Exeter University.</p> <p>You will be working in North Somerset, with Bases at The Barn Clevedon and in Weston Super Mare. This post entails travelling to meet the requirements of the role, therefore a driving license and access to a car is essential.</p> <p>You will be working with CYP with a range of eating difficulties and other comorbidities due to their eating. Our aim is to support young people, alongside their families and carers, to recover.</p> <p>The North Somerset CAMHS ED team is a busy thriving CAMHS team that is passionate about delivering highly effective and accessible services to the young people and families of North Somerset.</p> <p>The team is a well established multi disciplinary team offering evidence based interventions. The team are a diverse team and are committed to staff development and staff well being with excellent supervision and CPD opportunities. We offer established specialist clinics such as family therapy, specialist eating disorder clinics alongside staff working autonomously holding their own caseload. We have regular reflective groups and process groups to support with the clinical work.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Your role will involve providing triage, assessment, and treatment to support young people and their families/carers who present with a range of eating disorders and co-morbidities.</strong></p>
<p>The team offers a variety of treatment approaches, including group-based interventions, family therapy, and individual treatments.</p>
<p>You will work collaboratively with core CAMHS clinicians, the Eating Disorder Home Treatment Team, and the medical team at The Seashore Centre.</p>

If so, then join us in this rewarding new role in prevention and early intervention mental health care.</p> <p>The Mental Health in Schools Support Teams (MHST) is an initiative funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. MHST's have been set up to offer cognitive behaviour (CBT) interventions to children, young people and their families with low-moderate mental health difficulties. The interventions are (mostly) delivered in a range of education settings for children aged 5 - 18 years old, with the aim of improving access to mental health care for all young people who may need it.</p> <p>AWP are working in partnership with Off the Record (OTR) to co-deliver this model in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area with the workforce being employed equally across both organisations. This will broaden our scope to offer some high intensity CBT in our region and provide high quality CYPIAPT supervision of supervision.</p>

Band 7 CAMHS Clinical Psychologist - Weston-super-Mare

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work across North Somerset CAMHS and the North Somerset Service for Children in Care and Care Leavers in this innovative post.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will work within the Children in Care service alongside social workers, foster carers, and other health professionals. This role involves addressing the mental health and emotional well-being of children in care through consultation, training, and direct work across four days. The remaining day will be based within the Community CAMHS Team, holding a small caseload and supporting the team to deliver effective interventions for children in care.</p>
<p>This is an exciting time to join the service, as the local authority is investing in developing innovative care options for children, and the successful candidate will be part of this development.</p>
<p>Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are thriving seaside towns within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Taunton. The M5 motorway is easily accessible.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role involves delivering clinical expertise within specialist community services, aligned to a defined local care pathway serving a specific population--children who are looked after or under Special Guardianship Orders (SGO), referred by North Somerset CYPS.</p>
<p>The role also includes delivering training programmes to foster carers, social workers, and CAMHS clinicians to enhance their understanding of the impact of trauma on children in care. In addition to core clinical psychology skills, the successful candidate will have experience working with children in care and possess strong knowledge and skills in trauma-informed practices.</p>
<p>Whilst working closely with the local authority, clinical supervision and CPD will be provided through AWP CAMHS, which has a strong clinical psychology team and well-developed links with the University of Bath.</p>
<p>This post offers a high degree of autonomy, working across both health and social care sectors. The role is based at Weston Town Hall and North Somerset CAMHS @ Rowan/The Barn in Clevedon.</p>
