We’re here for men who have recently been through a mental health crisis—whether they’ve just left hospital or are finding it difficult to stay safe where they currently live. Our house offers a calm, safe environment where residents can take time to stabilise and focus on their wellbeing. We provide therapeutic support to help each person feel ready and confident to return home. Stays are usually up to 10 days, although men who are of no fixed abode (NFA) may stay a little longer if needed.</p><ul>	<li>We’re a non-CQC registered service.</li>	<li>Our team is here day and night, 24/7, every day of the year.</li>	<li>The service is run by Rethink Mental Illness, working closely with AWP, who handle all referrals through their Crisis Teams.</li></ul><p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p><p><strong>Staffing, Leadership &amp; Oversight</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that staff have the correct guidance and support to fulfil their roles and will ensure that a monthly 24/7 rota ensures enough staffing capacity to deliver effective support.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality of Support &amp; Environment</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that a high standard of support is embedded within the service and will promote and support an inclusive environment.</li>	<li>I will ensure that high quality support planning, risk management, outcomes measurements are in place for all residents in the service at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Referrals &amp; Risk Management</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will review all referrals into the service and ensure these are appropriate for the service remit and that risks are manageable during the residents stay. I will ensure that all referral documentation is received.</li></ul><p><strong>Partnership &amp; Multi-Agency Working</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will work closely with AWP Crisis Teams and ensure highly effective working relationships are in place at a management and front line level to ensure the crisis house provides the right standard of support to residents using a multi-agency approach.</li></ul><p><strong>Activities &amp; Resident Engagement</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure activities offered to residents in the house and externally are varied and meet residents needs and demand and are within agreed budgets.</li></ul><p><strong>Incident Management &amp; Learning</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will manage and review all incidents and severe untoward incidents that occur at the crisis house ensuring that learning is adopted and shared as needed with AWP and the commissioners.   <p>We are looking for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist passionate about working with complex presentations to join our diverse, dynamic team of skilled practitioners in South Bristol. You would offer evidence based approaches to work with service users and excellent supervision and training for Support and Recovery staff, as well as colleagues.</p> <p>The Complex Psychological Interventions Team (CPI), are part of Bristol Mental Health. CPI offers a range of activities to support psychologically informed care within the secondary mental health service. CPI has a strong presence in the Support and Recovery and the Crisis Teams. We have a unique identity as a group of highly skilled and respected professionals who liaise with senior Bristol management and meet monthly city - wide.</p> <p>CPI is comprised of multidisciplinary professions and provide a range of services both direct to clients, and indirect supportive functions with staff teams. These are designed to enhance the interventions delivered by teams, as well as contributing to the resilience and well-being of staff.</p> <p>The South Bristol Recovery Team are a compassionate, busy, diverse and forward thinking group of mental health practitioners who work in an area of high deprivation and need.</p> <p>We are keen to continue to develop the excellence of our staff with further training, research and development opportunities.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will provide specialist assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation, alongside staff training, supervision, consultation, advice and support to the South Bristol Recovery team. You will also provide clinical and/or management supervision to more junior CPI staff, placements to Clinical/Counselling Psychology trainees and engage in service development work as appropriate.</p> <p>To work within the Assessment &amp; Recovery Services, it is essential for you to have experience of delivering therapy to this client group, and to have been trained in NICE guideline interventions (e.g. DBT, CBT, Family Interventions, CAT, MBT etc). You will need excellent interpersonal skills to support the development of psychological thinking and intervention within multidisciplinary teams. Experience of delivering supervision and training would be essential.</p> <p>We would be especially interested in candidates with experience of supervision and management of Complex Trauma within secondary settings.</p> <p>We also plan this post to include the CPI Service User Involvement lead role. This entails working with a CPI colleague to co-facilitate our monthly CPI Service User Reference group.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) service is an exciting initiative in the Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) commissioning area. It is part of the Government's response to the 2017 Green Paper to increase access to mental health support by delivering evidence-based early interventions in educational settings for children and young people (CYP) presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.</p> <p>The post holder will work as an autonomous and responsible EMHP while also offering supervision within the scope of the MHST initiative.</p> <p>The post holder will work in partnership with schools to deliver a range of mental health interventions within school settings. This may involve group work or direct work with children and young people, as well as offering mental health-based consultation and advice to teaching staff.</p> <p>The post holder will ensure the effective coordination of clinical care provided within schools, including consideration of safeguarding and clinical risk issues where indicated.</p> <p>The post holder will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and caseload management to trainee and qualified EMHPs.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for clinical skills supervision and caseload management supervision of EMHPs within the MHST.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Therapeutic Assessment and Intervention:</strong></p>
<p>Assess and deliver outcome focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working at all times in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting inwhich the post-holder is working.</p>
<p>Facilitate fair access to services and promote social inclusion regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability.</p>
<p><strong>Supervision:</strong></p>
<p>Deliver clinical supervision to supervisee's on a scheduled basis to ensure safe practice and the governance obligations of the MHST service are adhered to.</p>
<p><strong>Effort and Health &amp; Safety Factors:</strong></p>
<p>Working with service users in distress and who on occasion may have used coping strategies such as self-harm, or present as hostile, confused and have difficulty communicating and as a result may pose risks to themselves or the safety of others.</p>
<p>Frequent driving and working across multiple sites to deliver interventions and attend to administrative tasks. There is an expectation to work mainly out of allocated schools but the post holder must be prepared to attend satellite sites, our main office and some home working.</p>

  <p>An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the team at New Horizons Mother and Baby Unit located on the Southmead Hospital site in North Bristol.</p>
<p>New Horizon MBU is a 4 bedded stand alone inpatient unit that provides specialist care and treatment for women suffering from perinatal mental health difficulties. The unit supports women from 32 weeks antenatal and postnatal women with babies up to one year of age. New Horizon MBU particularly supports mothers who are having issues relating to attachment and bonding with their baby and when the mother's mental health is effecting their ability to care for their baby.</p>
<p>Care is provided over a 24 hour period and clinical team members work rotational shift patterns including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.</p>
<p>Sometimes the role will be tough, you will see and be involved in some difficult things involving our patients. However here at New Horizon MBU we are a very close, compassionate and supportive team that thrive on looking after one another so we can deliver excellent care to the women on our unit.</p>
<p>It is preferable that the applicant has experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties. New Horizons MBU is a specialist service and therefore having baseline knowledge, understanding and experience is highly important.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Clinical work with service users with a range of acute and enduring mental health illnesses, with the main focus of promoting bonding and attachment with their baby. You will be expected to build therapeutic relationships with service users and their loved ones, supporting them through their transition into hospital and throughout. On New Horizons we work closely with children's social care team therefore you will need to safeguarding and promote the welfare of children and young people.</p>
<p>Support complex needs and vulnerable families alongside side the team and other health professionals. Plan and implement safety plans created with patients and their loved ones. Support activities of daily living alongside a child, such as supporting daily walks, home leave, cooking, baby activities.</p>
<p>You will be expected to complete all statutory and mandatory trainings identified by our trust including the prevention and management of violence and aggression, basic resuscitation and paediatric basic resuscitation.</p>

  <p>Due to additional investment an exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and enthusiastic clinical psychologist committed to working with people with severe and enduring mental health needs to join our service. You will work closely with the North Somerset Recovery Team as part of the Psychological Therapies Service.</p> <p>North Somerset PTS services work across all community, acute and inpatient services within North Somerset. The service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprising of clinical psychologists, arts psychotherapists, family therapists CBT therapists, psychotherapists and CAPs and works closely with other services in the Locality.</p> <p>We are a friendly and supportive team, who are highly valued within local services. Within PTS, psychologists are professionally managed with good supervision and peer support arrangements.
