<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p><strong>Important: This post requires successful candidates to undergo NPPV Level 2 (full) Police Vetting of which successful clearance is essential in order to fulfil the role. As part of this vetting process the candidate is required to have been resident in the UK for at least three years.</strong></p>
<p>An opportunity has arisen within the Liaison and Diversion Team for the role of Liaison &amp; Diversion Practitioner as part of The Bay Liaison &amp; Diversion Team. This key position within the established Liaison and Diversion Service for Police Custody Suites and Magistrates Courts will be offered as a permanent post.</p>
<p>This postholder will be expected to work across all three sites.</p>
<p>The service operates seven days per week 8-8 when fully operational and staff work on a shift basis.</p>
<p>Essential Criteria: A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in relevant subject OR Diploma in Health and Social Care AND/OR Experience of working with people with complex needs for a minimum of 2 years</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Liaison and Diversion (L&amp;D) services identify people who have substance misuse, mental health, learning disability or other vulnerabilities when they first come into contact with the criminal justice system as suspects, defendants or offenders.</p>
<p>The service can then support people through the early stages of criminal system pathway, refer them for appropriate health or social care or enable them to be diverted away from the criminal justice system into a more appropriate setting, if required.</p>
<p>This is an 'all age' service and so you will be required to work with people from the age of 10 years upwards and originates from the Bradley Report 2009.</p>
<p>The main things that L&amp;D services do for the people we see are identification, screening, assessment and referral to other services.</p>
<p>o We work in Police Custody Suites and Courts throughout Lancashire &amp; Cumbria and offer assessments to individuals within the Criminal Justice system including Voluntary Attendees</p>
<p>o We look to identify unmet need and vulnerabilities that often lead to or exacerbate offending behaviour, offer onward referral and signposting as appropriate</p>
<p>o We liaise across agencies to support onward planning and intervention to address needs</p>
<p>o We offer some brief community based intervention to maximise service user access and engagement with those appropriate services</p>
<p>o We help to inform decision makers with relevant and timely information to support sentencing and disposal outcomes.</p>

  <p>The successful candidate will be working as part of our extensive multidisciplinary team to provide an excellent and effective reablement service.</p>
<p>You will be expected to be able to work autonomously and take responsibility for a caseload ensuring that evidence based, individualised and effective treatment is administered with the outcome of a timely and safe discharge.</p>
<p>Excellent time management, clinical reasoning and risk assessment skills are essential for this role.</p>
<p>You will be supported by the senior members of staff and team lead with regular supervision and in service training.</p>
<p>The service will work over 7 days per week on a rota.</p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Exciting opportunities have arisen across female inpatient ward at the Harbour, for the role of Health and Wellbeing worker.</p>
<p>This role is perfect for outgoing, highly motivated and creative individuals, who want to enhance service users inpatient experience through activity.</p>
<p>The right candidates will be able to work with a degree of autonomy, whilst under the guidance of the occupational therapy team and the ward leadership teams, to delivery high quality activities that meet the needs of the service users.</p>
<p>Interests in fitness and knowledge around healthy lifestyles are essential, as are a willingness to role model to peers in the clinical environments around positive engagement on the ward in relation to alleviating boredom, providing meaningful activity and building therapeutic relationships.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will be expected to provide healthy lifestyle interventions with service users and will be expected to lead on delivering high quality meaningful activities.</p>
<p>As such a motivated individual with a creative streak is required. You will be expected to be part of a health and wellbeing team that provides 7 day activity provision, and as such will be required to work weekends on a shift pattern. You will also be required to be available to work between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00, dependent on service need.</p>
<p>These posts are full time, with no current opportunity for part time hours.</p>
<p>You will be a role model to peers, with excellent interpersonal skills, and able to build relationships with service users who are going through challenging times in their lives.</p>
<p>There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be part of ward meetings, will feed into ward governance meetings, and will be confident in documenting on electronic records.</p>
