Digital Programme Manager

			Are you an&nbsp;experienced and innovative HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist&nbsp;looking to take the next step in your career?&nbsp;This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a&nbsp;multi-disciplinary psychological therapies team which covers both male and female adult acute inpatient wards (23 beds in total) at Potters Bar Clinic.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we are developing a new pathway for young adults who present with complex trauma, and you will have a key role in contributing to this service development.&nbsp;There are opportunities for further training relevant to the therapeutic work.

You&nbsp;will provide a clinical service of specialist psychology assessments and interventions to a number of adult service users with&nbsp;acute mental health needs&nbsp;on the ward. You will also provide a specialist clinical perspective in relation to other service users with whom you might not be directly involved. Potters Bar uses a formulation driven and trauma informed model of care.
Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.
As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.&nbsp;&nbsp;

As a Psychologist you will be:
<ul>
 <li>Working autonomously to provide a specialist psychology service to patients as agreed by Consultant Psychiatrist, Therapies Lead, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and in discussion with wider MDT.</li>
 <li>Undertaking specialist assessments.</li>
 <li>Providing specialist interventions according to formulations based on an appropriate conceptual framework, NICE guidelines, evidence from research, and in accordance with the wider MDT formulation and interventions.</li>
 <li>Be involved in running therapeutic groups on the ward as agreed.</li>
 <li>Continually monitor risk of all patients for whom there is direct contact, or regarding which the post holder receives relevant information, ensure acute risk is managed, liaise with MDT (and in particular responsible psychiatrist) regarding risk, and update electronic record including risk assessment as required.</li>
 <li>Ensuring that all clinical work is adequately recoded in the electronic patient record.</li>
 <li>Attending ward rounds (and other MDT meetings), case conferences, CPAs as required, and provide reports in advance for these in accordance with local procedures.</li>
 <li>Preparing clinical; reports as required, e.g. assessment reports, discharge summaries.</li>
 <li>Liaising with internal and external colleagues as required</li>
 <li>Completing all recording and reporting tasks associated with clinical work.</li>
 <li>Facilitating ‘reflective practice’ sessions for the ward-based staff as agreed within the psychological therapies team and in discussion with wider MDT.&nbsp;Please note that the reflective practice sessions take place at 7:30am and 7:30pm to cover day and night ward-based staff. There is flexibility in the working arrangements to accommodate these working patterns.</li>
</ul>
&nbsp;To be successful in this role, you'll need:

In this role, you’ll connect with local organisations and services to make sure adults who struggle with reading — as well as potential volunteers — know about the life-changing support we offer.This is a role for someone who loves reaching out, building trust, and ensuring no one is left behind because of reading challenges.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Build strong relationships with local partners such as libraries, job centres, housing associations, GP surgeries, and adult education providers.</li><li>Raise awareness of Read Easy’s free one-to-one reading coaching and encourage referrals of both readers and volunteers.</li><li>Represent Read Easy at local events, community meetings, and networking opportunities.</li><li>Identify new referral routes and creative ways to reach adults who need support.</li><li>Maintain an up-to-date contact list and track referral outcomes.</li><li>Gather feedback to help the team strengthen community connections.</li></ul><h3>Time commitment</h3>This position is flexible and can mainly be done at times that suit you. Volunteer Role: Referrals Networker

Good mental health support shouldn't be a privilege that benefits a few, it should be accessible to all that need it, be approachable, and actually helpful.We're looking for a Safeguarding Lead and Clinical Supervisor to be responsible for delivering clinical and safeguarding supervision of Spill therapists; ensuring appropriate escalation and management of safeguarding; participating in weekly clinical meetings and other tasks listed in the full job description.<h2>Role Description</h2>The clinical quality of counselling and therapy received by Spill clients is at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this we need high quality support, guidance, and clinical supervision for our growing team of exceptional counsellors, and to ensure that all safeguarding cases which arise are responded to effectively for the safety of the clients we work with.You will be joining a small, robust, ethically and clinically led Clinical Team overseeing the clinical governance, clinical quality and safeguarding of counselling and therapy work delivered at Spill. We currently have over 80 counsellors and are rapidly growing, so this role forms an essential part of the clinical oversight at Spill. You will be working alongside our Clinical Lead, another Safeguarding Lead and Clinical Supervisor, and additional Clinical Supervisors.<h2>Duties and Responsibilities</h2>The role is responsible for:<ul><li>Delivering clinical supervision of Spill therapists, which is needs led and responds to developmental and/or support needs of the counsellors and therapists</li><li>Delivering Safeguarding supervision to Spill therapists when they have raised a safeguarding concern</li><li>Updating and maintaining the organisational safeguarding log</li><li>Ensuring appropriate escalation, management and actions in response to safeguarding</li><li>Participating in weekly clinical meetings focused on safeguarding, clinical governance, and product updates</li><li>Developing and delivering annual safeguarding training to Spill therapists</li><li>Ensuring effective communication to Spill HQ of counsellor needs, views or challenges</li><li>Attending weekly supervision with the Clinical Lead</li><li>Attending monthly reflective meetings with all supervisors at Spill</li><li>Participating in clinical governance tasks undertaken by the clinical team, such as safeguarding case reviews for continuous improvement, screening of risk in intake forms where needed) and management of complaints</li></ul><h2>Essential Criteria</h2><ul><li>Membership of a professional body, such as HCPC, BACP, UKCP, NCPS meeting full criteria for accreditation (where applicable)</li><li>A supervision qualification</li><li>A qualification in a specialist field or modality in excess of a core counselling qualification (e.g. qualification in couples counselling / PCE counselling for depression / EMDR etc.)</li><li>A minimum of 7 years post qualifying experience as a therapist which has included counselling/therapy delivered online via video</li><li>A minimum of 2 years experience as a clinical supervisor, which has included supervision delivered online via video</li><li>Direct experience of managing safeguarding (as a therapist or supervisor) in an organisational setting</li><li>Current valid professional Indemnity Insurance (worldwide cover)</li><li>Experience delivering both long term and fixed term therapy</li></ul>It would be a bonus if you also have:<ul><li>Experience and/or training in delivering text-based therapy (synchronous or asynchronous)</li><li>Experience of delivering video-based group supervision</li><li>Experience delivering training or workshops remotely</li><li>Experience in the development of clinical governance policies and procedures as a part of a team</li><li>Experience delivering single session therapy</li></ul><h2>Role requirements</h2>The role is being recruited to on a contractor/self-employed basis.The minimum time requirement of the role is 10 hours weekly delivered over Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and/or Friday. This will include set times for meetings, with the rest of the hours being flexible to respond to service needs. Additional time is available and optional.As this is a Safeguarding Lead role, on the above days it is important that the post holder is able to respond to and effectively manage safeguarding escalations on the day (between 9am and 6pm).
