<p>Working under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will undertake psychiatric and external assessments for service users referred to the unit, ensuring the appropriate level of care is provided. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive Care Programmes tailored to individual needs.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities will include preparing discharge summaries, reports and documentation for CPA meetings, as well as First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearings. You will arrange and review clinical tests and investigations, take responsibility for chasing results and act promptly on findings. Supporting physical health care is a vital part of the role, including sharing responsibility for bloods and ECGs with the site phlebotomist, and ensuring ward staff carry out physical observations in line with medical instructions.</p>
<p>You will participate in learning activities, supervision and Clinical Governance initiatives, contributing to audits, research and teaching. Delivering staff training relevant to the service user group and supporting service development will also form part of your remit. To ensure continuity of care, you will work effectively with colleagues to maintain medical cover at all times, including participation in the on-call rota and providing prospective cover for other specialty doctors during leave periods.</p>
<p><strong>As an Associate Specialist Doctor, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Undertake psychiatric and external assessments for clients referred to the unit to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and work with the MDT to ensure delivery of the Care Programme.</li>

  <p></p><p>We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Clinical Psychologist (or equivalent) or a more recently qualified Clinical Psychologist seeking a preceptorship role to join the south in-patient service for older people within Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT). This service offers psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for people over the age of 65 years with dementia, as well as those experiencing distress from emotional disorders or psychosis who require admission.</p>

  <p></p><p>You would be joining a comprehensive and dynamic CAMH service, delivering a substantial, stepped model of care following the needs-led i-Thrive framework. This is a post within an established Mental Health Support Team in Luton. Your role will help to develop and deliver a wide range of interventions, projects and system changes, with the aim of the whole school and whole community approaches supporting young people's mental health. In addition to providing comprehensive consultation, assessment, risk management and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties in schools, the post-holder will also clinically supervise colleagues. We welcome applicants who have experience of working or living in Central Bedfordshire or Luton.</p> <p>There is a national focus on increasing the reach of Mental Health Support Teams, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. The recently published NHS 10 Year Plan has an ambition to increase MHSTs' coverage to all schools by 2030. There is a specific focus on developing more access to help and aiding and improving the general culture of emotional support within all primary and secondary schools, including special educational provisions and PRUs. Working alongside community partners, the Mental Health Support Team will be fully integrated with community CAMHS and educational settings.</p>

  <p></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join 14 Arches, Staff Psychology &amp; Counselling; a psychology-led service offering psychological support to NHS staff working in Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. The service is based in Northampton but provides support across sites where NHFT staff are based.</p>
<p>You would be joining an innovative and enthusiastic team of two principal psychologists and two experienced counsellors, supported by a clinical administrator. Psychologists within the service offer one-to-one consultations to colleagues, in which we explore an area of concern and help make sense of what is going on; we also offer support to teams and team leaders, consulting when there are difficulties and providing input to teams through structured activities and reflective practice.</p>
<p>We are looking for an innovative and dedicated clinician with a strong commitment to improving psychological wellbeing for NHS staff and an interest in using their skills in a range of individual and group interventions with staff. Strengths will be psychological formulation which draws on a range of models, and the ability to communicate and share psychological thinking with colleagues. Also important will be the ability in the postholder to work at a systemic level, develop practice and take forward a project within the service.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p></p><p>You would be expected to work alongside the established psychologists and counsellors within the service, delivering support to colleagues who refer in, supporting service evaluation and development and contributing to supervision, governance and service development.
