The post holder will also be responsible for completing some independent clinical work, such as, initial assessments.</p> <p>We are looking for a person who can use their own creative skills alongside our resources (art and craft materials, food, gardening, music, exercise, and other resources, to engage service users and support them on their recovery journey. The aim of the role is to provide group interventions, using recovery principles, in order to improve the service users' quality of life and to support them to do the things they want to do and live the life they want to lead. The post holder will receive regular supervision by the Team Manager and opportunities for training through CNWL Learning and Development and the Recovery and Wellbeing College. The Occupational Therapy team are looking for a band 4 Occupational Assistant Therapy Practitioner (ATP) to be based at Kingfisher Court, Radlett to support the established OT service. This is an exciting opportunity for an independent and self-sufficient practitioner, who would like to help support people using our services to establish roles and routines, and interests whilst on the wards, as well as help identify occupational need.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

<li>You will be supported by an experienced Occupational Therapists and the rest of the team to carry out specific individual work and facilitate a range of activity group interventions.</li>
<li>You will need to be able to work independently with Service Users to support them in developing and expanding their roles and routines. Experience of running groups would be advantageous.</li>
<li>Regular training opportunities will be available to build your skills in these areas and we encourage people to apply for the Occupational Therapy apprenticeship which is run at the university of Hertfordshire.</li>

<p>This is a rotational post between the newly opening Slough Community Diagnostic Centre at Upton, Wexham Park Hospital (Slough), Heatherwood Elective Centre (Ascot), St Mark's Hospital (Maidenhead) and King Edward's VII Hospital (Windsor).</p>

  <p>There is a rare opportunity due to staff moving on to join our Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health therapies team as a horticultural therapist.</p>

  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams are a service designed to help meet the mental health needs of children and young people in educational settings. The MHS Teams are made up of Senior Clinicians, CAMHS Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Children well being practitioners (CWP). They are based across education settings as an additional resource within a whole-system approach to promote resilience and well being, support earlier intervention, enable appropriate signposting and deliver evidence-based support, care and interventions.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>There are currently eight MHSTs across Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford, working across 110 schools in total. The successful candidate will be employed by Bedfordshire &amp; Luton CAMHS (ELFT), where the MHSTs deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) and emotional wellbeing interventions. You will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and capabilities to work as a qualified core professional/EMHP/CWP, as an autonomous and responsible practitioner within your scope of practice, alongside education and health colleagues.</p> <p>You will be confident in providing support to young people and families with anxiety, low mood and challenging behaviours. You will be flexible and creative in responding to the needs of the school populations, with excellent support from your team and supervision. You will also be able to adapt to working remotely, prioritising access to services and resources.</p>
