  <p>We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychologist to join two innovative services in Swindon: the Primary Care Complex Emotional Needs Service (PC CEN) and the Primary Care Liaison Service (PCLS). This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills, contribute to service development, and deliver impactful psychological care within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.</p> <p>The role is designed to span both services, though we would consider applicants who are interested in applying for either part of the role.PC CEN provides brief psychological support for individuals experiencing emotional and relational difficulties, often associated with personality disorder. With new investment, the service is expanding to include support for people with complex PTSD who may not meet criteria for secondary mental health services.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This role is currently structured as three days per week in PC CEN and two days per week in PCLS. However, we would consider applicants who are interested in applying for either part of the role.</p>
<p>As PC CEN Psychologist, you will lead the locality team as the service expands, overseeing therapists and Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners (MHWPs) to deliver safe, evidence-based interventions for clients with complex emotional needs and complex PTSD. You will also provide these interventions to a small caseload of service users.</p>
<p>As PCLS Psychologist, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, formulation, brief interventions, and signposting for a wide range of mental health presentations. This part of the role is linked to the Swindon Psychological Therapies Service (PTS), which includes a trainee Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) and is actively developing its psychological offer.</p>

The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 9-5 Monday to Friday however there is an expectation that there is flexibility to cover the out of hours shifts when required.</p> <p>The post holder will need to be able to travel around the county, to offer interventions to patients and carers.   <ul>  <li>Working within the treatment function of the AMHT you will co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.</li>  <li>You will work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support.</li>  <li>You will have experience of providing community mental health care and able to assess and plan treatment with service users.   <p>Biomedical Scientists (BMSs) contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing and interpreting a range of scientific procedures on biological specimens using highly complex equipment.</p>
<p>This post operates throughout Haematology and Blood Transfusion, in conjunction with the Biomedical Support Workers. The laboratory is fully UKAS ISO 15189 Accredited and is also an accredited site for HCPC Certificate of Competence and IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Chemistry Training. The department has state of the art equipment with a refresh of major analysers in 2019.  </p>
<p>We have Sysmex with Di60 for FBC and Films, Werfen for coagulation and Ortho in Blood Transfusion  In 2021 we have installed and gone live with a comprehensive Kelsius Temperature Monitoring System.  Early in 2022 we expect to take on a full complement of new Microscopes.  Ordercomms is now established for Hospital and GP Users and the laboratory and a major IT upgrade to Winpath Enterprise is underway for implementation in 2022.</p>
