  <p>This is an exciting time to join us in making a real change for children and young people across our area, as we are looking for a <strong>Children and Young People's Well-Being Practitioner</strong> to work in our team of experienced clinical psychologists, specialist epilepsy nurses and consultant paediatricians based at York Hospital. </p> <p>We are delighted to be chosen as a national pilot site for integrating mental health support into children and young people's epilepsy care. This project, which began in March 2023, is focused on the implementation of mental health screening and intervention for children and young people in our region.</p> <p><strong>If you wish to apply for this vacancy as a secondment opportunity, please seek permission from your current line manager first</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Your role will be to deliver an innovative, manualised CBT-based intervention, to children and young people who have been screened by their team and shown to require psychological support. This intervention, MICE (Mental Health Intervention for Children with Epilepsy), is designed to improve the treatment of mental health problems in young people with epilepsy and has been shown to be effective in a large-scale research project. </p> <p>It can be delivered by telephone, video conferencing or face to face, and training will be provided. You will be using evidence-based interventions with supervision from the senior clinical psychologist. This will include a range of therapeutic self-management interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate psychological problems, as well as the administration and teaching of psycho-educational classes to groups of parents and children and young people.</p> <p><strong>Team &amp; Support</strong></p> <ul>  <li><strong>York Hospital Paediatric Psychology Service</strong>, part of a larger<strong>Department of Psychological Medicine</strong>.</li>  <li>Supervision and collaboration with experienced psychologists including:   <ul>    <li><strong>Dr Emma Peakman</strong>- Consultant Clinical Psychologist</li>    <li><strong>Dr Anya Knight</strong> - Senior Clinical Psychologist</li>   </ul> </li> </ul> <p>You will be joining a dedicated paediatric psychology team and have opportunities to continue to learn and develop. </p>

Senior Wellbeing Practitioner

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a developmental Band 7-8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist or experienced 8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist developmental to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services at Brooklands Hospital. This is a full-time position primarily based within the autism low secure service, with some hours in the LD secure services.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management and is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams. Positive Behavioural Support is a key component of our treatment approach and philosophy and the successful candidate will work closely with others on developing new and existing service projects, develop new and existing group programmes and provide support in training others. There is lots of personal and service development opportunity within this role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will ideally have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who present considerable risk to others. You will use your psychological skills and experience to provide assessments, individual and group therapies, team formulations, and reflective practice.</p> <p>You may also supervise others (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists) and be involved in training others, such as ward staff and multidisciplinary colleagues. Training others and contributing to and leading on service development projects and undertaking audit and research is an important part of this role.</p> <p>The psychology department at Brooklands is a well-established and supportive service and the successful applicant will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities. The teamwork from a number of different therapeutic approaches including CBT, CAT, CFT, EMDR and Schema Therapy. We provide a number of well-established and structured offence group programmes as part of the service user's comprehensive treatment pathway.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity for a permanent post has arisen within NHFT to deliver integrated healthcare within HMP Lowdham Grange . The successful candidate will have prior experience working as an Assistant Psychologist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be working as a member of the mental health team to provide psychological interventions for a wide range of mental health challenges, including the delivery of psychoeducational groups and one to one work, as well as working with neurodiverse residents. The ability to employ CBT for common mental health challenges is essential but the post holder will also make use of other psychological approaches as necessary to ensure that the most suitable person-centred care is provided.</p>

<p>The Forensic Outreach and Liaison Service is a specialist service for Kent, providing a safe, effective and timely pathway from medium/low secure care into the community, for people requiring ongoing specialist forensic mental health care. </p>
<p>We are recruiting two Band 4 Assistant Psychologists, one full-time post and one part-time post</p>
<p>These are challenging posts for two dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologists who are keen to support patients moving from secure services to be reintegrated into the community.</p>
<p>These posts are subject to a six-month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>To provide clinical, research and administrative support to the psychology staff in the FOLS team, under their direct guidance and supervision, in order to assist in providing and monitoring the service provision within the Service Line.</li>  <li>Take an active role in coordinating and conducting initial assessments and formulations under the supervision of a qualified clinician. Contribute to the development of risk formulations and treatment planning.</li>  <li>Administer and score assessment instruments and other forms of assessment and compile reports.</li>  <li>Co-facilitate structured groups such as anger management, social skills and problem solving.</li>  <li>Take part in audit, Qi and research.</li>  <li>Supporting FOLS to provide tailored support to autistic clients.</li>  <li>Provision of administrative support to the psychologist and psychotherapist, including literature searches for relevant articles and the collation of information for case conferences.</li>  <li>The posts will be based in the FOLS team and arepredominantly patient-facing.</li>  <li>The post holders will work with highly emotive content and manage high levels of mental exertion for extended periods of time on a daily basis</li> </ul>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Psychology service at Stockton Hall Hospital. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Consultant Psychologist, with robust experience within a forensic setting; someone who is a confident leader and is keen to develop to contribute to service development, including trauma informed care.</p><p>At Stockton Hall Hospital, just outside York, we are well-known for producing positive clinical outcomes for highly complex patients. We currently provide a medium-secure care setting in which patients access a broad range of therapeutic interventions including one-to-one and group-based psychological treatments.</p><p>Our service has produced excellent recovery results for patients, maximising their opportunity to progress to conditions of lower-security and community settings as safely and efficiently as possible.</p>
