  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic senior psychotherapist/ psychologist to join our inpatient team.</p> <p>We are redeveloping our female wards, and this is an opportunity to develop new trauma informed pathways and influence the culture of care on the wards through training and consultation.</p> <p>This is an 8a vacancy, however, we welcome applications from psychologists at B7 seeking progression.</p> <p>You will be joining a supportive team of psychologists, therapist and CAPS working across a variety of acute services.</p> <p>We are involved in the Culture of Care programme, NHS England's Quality Transformation aimed at developing safe, compassionate, culturally competent wards. We are committed to reducing restrictive practice. You will take a key role in supporting and implementing these developments, with opportunities to be innovative and influential and will develop your formulation and consultation skills in addition to direct clinical work. Our team promotes practice-based research in acute settings. We have an established inpatient research plan and collaborate with the University of Sheffield. Psychology is highly valued by the ward teams. The post will suit a candidate who has experience and interest in working with people with complex mental health difficulties within an MDT. We will support your ongoing development in a specialty area of clinical practice core to inpatient care, through CPD, supervision and service development.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post will suit a candidate who has experience and interest in working with people with severe, chronic and complex mental health difficulties within a multidisciplinary team and who can offer both direct and indirect work with service users, their families and staff. You will be involved in offering team formulation, reflective practice and post-incident support, as well as providing a key role as part of the senior leadership team on the ward. Psychology roles are highly valued by the ward teams and a positive approach and commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork is essential.</p> <p>- To provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and evidence based short term interventions for individuals and/or families with service users who are presenting with highly complex and distressing psychological problems, including psychosis and complex trauma.</p> <p>- To provide clinical leadership and contribute to the provision of a trauma-informed and least restrictive environment through supporting the staff team in their decision making and offering indirect support through team formulation, reflective practice and individual supervision. </p> <p>- To provide clinical supervision to Trainee psychotherapists and Psychologists and Trainee/Qualified Clinical Associate Psychologists.</p> <p>- To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to acute inpatient settings.</p>   <h3>About us</h3>

  <p>To provide a high-quality, specialist clinical psychology service to older adults admitted to the inpatient mental health ward. The postholder will deliver psychological assessment, formulation, interventions and group therapy for individuals experiencing complex mental health difficulties, cognitive decline, and/or dementia-related conditions. They will also contribute to staff training, supervision, and service development, supporting the ward in delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.</p>

There are six specialist services on the Brooklands Hospital site, providing inpatient assessment and treatment services to adults (men and women) and young people with an Intellectual Disability. This includes both secure and non-secure services. </p> <p>Your role will be to provide support to the qualified Clinical team in delivering a high quality psychology service within some of the inpatient services, working in a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with young people and adults with complex needs and who can display a range of behavioural challenge.   <p>The post holder would be joining a dynamic team with a range of clinical interests and expertise in a variety of therapeutic models including DBT, Compassion Focussed, EMDR and Narrative approaches.</p> <p>Positive Behavioural Support is a major part of our treatment philosophy and the service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence based interventions are provided to people who can present considerable risk, to ensure that they can return to a less restrictive environment in the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>All members of the team receive excellent support, good quality supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development. a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at our forensic mental health hospital, Heatherwood
Court. Comprising of a Locked Rehabilitation Service (1 female ward) and a Low

complex needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma,
and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. </p><p>We are looking for applicants with

along with those who have an interest and prior experience of delivering
evidenced-based interventions for people with personality disorder and/or
complex mental health problems. We are particularly interested in candidates

team of psychologists including a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, , Forensic Psychologist and

      <h3>Job responsibilities</h3>
      <p>The Clinical Associate Psychologist is a key role within both the psychology team and the wider Camden Core Mental Health team.</p>
<p>Key duties include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assessment and formulation for service users referred to Camden Core Mental Health team, under supervision from the wider Psychology team.</li>
<li>Brief interventions for complex presentations above the threshold for Camden Talking Therapies but below threshold for secondary care.</li>
<li>Individual interventions delivering Structured Clinical Management-informed interventions including problem-solving and skills focused work.</li>
<li>Group interventions: psychoeducation and skills workshops.</li>
<li>Working as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team.</li>
<li>Working with diversity and a range of clinical presentations.</li>
<li>Opportunities for service development, research projects and audit of interventions.</li>
