  <p>We are looking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist to work with a friendly, lively, supportive, innovative and inspiring team, with a good track record of Assistant's progressing in their career both within Clinical Psychology and other relevant fields.</p> <p>You will join a department of 3 Assistants, 2 trainee Clinical Associates in Psychology, a trainee CBT therapist and 7 qualified Clinical Psychologists, collectively covering the Memory Assessment Pathway, Community Mental Health Planned and Unplanned Pathways and Inpatient Services. The post will be based in the East (Lichfield and Tamworth) though there will be times where the role requires you to travel between, or input into, different MPFT sites, and includes working from home when required with equipment provided by the Trust. There will be plenty of opportunity for peer support and clinical supervision.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>All clinical activities will be under the close clinical supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist within the Planned pathway of our Community Mental Health Service. You will have a significant role in delivering elements of service individually or in groups for Service Users such as anxiety management, graded exposure and emotions programme. You will, where appropriate, contribute to the clinical assessment of service users. You will also contribute to the assessment, formulation and intervention within care homes where there are indications the care home staff are finding it difficult to understand and/or meet the person's emotional needs as that individual's ability to communicate their needs deteriorates. There maybe times when you are required to conduct audits or service evaluation to assist with the development of the psychology and wider service. The Assistant Psychologist may be involved with training staff, delivering groups, using outcome measures and evaluating the effectiveness of the interventions delivered. Administrative duties will include the maintenance of referral databases using excel, SharePoint and OneNote.</p>

Remote ADHD Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice.   <p>The post holder will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting adults and young people and will take a lead role within the service, using the wide range of their clinical psychology skills, including:</p> <p> Specialist clinical assessment &amp; formulation</p> <p> Person-centred interventions (individual / group)</p> <p> Support to staff from other disciplines to undertake psychological interventions</p> <p> Care planning using a Positive Behavioural Support approach</p> <p> Facilitating team reflective practice</p> <p> Supervision and training for members of the psychology team and other professions</p> <p>Psychological input is highly valued by the MDT and there is an emphasis on close working with colleagues from psychiatry, nursing, speech &amp; language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and teaching.</p> <p>The SATS and CAMHS Psychological Services team are part of a wider Psychological Services team on the Brooklands site, which is awell-established and supportive service. Successful applicants will receive good quality supervision and support to further develop their skills and knowledge. </p> <p>The service has strong links with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical psychologists, supervision for research, and teaching on the local courses. There are also strong links with Community Learning Disability and Intensive Support teams across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. </p>
