<p>As a registered psychologist you will participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders as part of the project work. You will review processes, guidelines and standards to help guide service user engagement in their care pathway and will be under the supervision and management of the clinical director. You will support clinical team working, including support for interventions and training programmes. You will be an innovative thinker, developing new initiatives and ways of working, whilst working closely with internal/ external agencies to enhance treatment pathways for service users.</p>

<p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p>

    <li>To provide guidance in ensuring Psychology practices in the specified area of service maintains the highest standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards at all times.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will have:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology either through the British Psychological Society or a recognised training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area. This can include learning difficulty, neurodiversity and complex trauma.</li>

<h2><strong>Fully remote, full-time internship for aspiring clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors.</strong></h2><p>Our Clinical Psychology Internship equips aspiring mental health professionals worldwide with essential skills and practical client-facing experience, preparing them for careers in clinical psychology, coaching, psychotherapy, or counselling.</p><p>Interns complete an intensive one-month crash course covering a toolkit of evidence-based techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).   <p>Providing talking therapies to clients with Eating Disorders, providing supervision/training to other staff and acting as a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. They will carry a caseload of complex clients and be expected to be an important contributor in the team management of the most complex clients who present to the service.</p> <p>The successful candidate will undertake direct clinical work, supervision, consultation and contribute to teaching and service development as well as helping to consult and guide on client's psychological care, from a trauma informed perspective. The team are trained in different therapy models including CBT, CAT, EMDR and integrative therapy and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake further training.</p> <p>Previous experience of eating disorders is necessary. You will be provided with professional and clinical supervision, and there will be multiple opportunities to develop your specialist clinical skills. There are opportunities to link with other Practitioners working in the eating disorder community and inpatient services across the Trust, and more widely across other services</p>
