Specialist Counsellor

  <p>Band 7 0.5 wte (2.5 days) 18.75 hours part time permanent post</p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychotherapist to join our established adult community Eating Disorders Team.</p> <p>The post is a permanent. You will be joining an experienced and welcoming Multidisciplinary Team which highly values psychotherapeutic work.</p> <p>We are very keen to attract the right candidates and consider locality working. This role will involve remote working/hybrid working options however there will be a requirement to work from the office on certain days to meet the needs of the service.</p> <p>Shortlisting Monday 17th November 2025</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Providing talking therapies to clients with Eating Disorders, providing supervision/training to other staff and acting as a part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. They will carry a caseload of complex clients and be expected to be an important contributor in the team management of the most complex clients who present to the service.</p> <p>The successful candidate will undertake direct clinical work, supervision, consultation and contribute to teaching and service development as well as helping to consult and guide on client's psychological care, from a trauma informed perspective. The team are trained in different therapy models including CBT, CAT, EMDR and integrative therapy and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake further training.</p> <p>Previous experience of eating disorders is necessary. You will be provided with professional and clinical supervision, and there will be multiple opportunities to develop your specialist clinical skills. There are opportunities to link with other Practitioners working in the eating disorder community and inpatient services across the Trust, and more widely across other services</p>

Our client offers the most comprehensive employee assistance programme on the market, giving 24/7 caring and compassionate support services to employers from organisations of all sizes, across the private, public and non-profit sector.</p> <p>This is a great opportunity to join the industry leading EAP and OH provider &amp; Sunday Times 'Best Places to Work' organisation as an EAP Counsellor.</p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>Providing immediate emotional support and guidance to callers on the 24/7 helpline - completing clinical assessments and signposting appropriately.
