An award-winning college we are working with is currently searching for an up-beat and passionate youth worker to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis ASAP. The college works with young people aged 16-19 with moderate learning difficulties and firmly believes that every student deserves a chance at achieving their dreams. As a youth worker, you will work closely with the students, staff and parents in order to provide the best education possible. Many of these students are driven and focused on succeeding, and need someone equally as enthusiastic to help them reach their goals.

Key information for a youth worker:

• ASAP start
• 85-100 per day (Dependent on experience)
• Based in Oxford
• Full-time hours - 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)

You could be a youth worker if you:

• Have a passion for education, and want to help students succeed
• Have an enthusiastic and bubbly personality that can inspire the pupils to achieve their best
• Have previously worked with young people (Preferred but not essential)
• Have excellent communication skills and an ability to convey complex ideas in a clear manner
• Have a minimum Grade C/Level 4 GCES in Maths and English

A day in the life of a youth worker involves:

• Supporting and uplifting the students, motivating them in their studies
• Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver tailored lessons
• Facilitating a safe and nurturing learning environment that allows the students to thrive
• Working with students on a 1 to 1 or small group basis
• Communicating with parents, teachers, and a wider team to discuss, plan and deliver the best care possible.
