As a youth mental health assistant, you would be working with experienced and dedicated staff to facilitate a positive and supportive learning environment.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)
• Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
• Location: Reading

• You are passionate about working with vulnerable young people

• You hold a GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)

• You can work well in a team and have excellent communication skills

• You may have previous experience with SEN or in a care/support role with young people (preferred, not essential)

What you can expect to do as a Youth mental health assistant:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in class and during interventions
• Working with students to develop healthy coping strategies and emotional safety
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality support
• Monitoring progress and reporting back to a wider team in order to provide high-quality care
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students with their daily routines
