As a youth mental health assistant, you would be working with experienced and dedicated staff to facilitate a positive and supportive learning environment.

- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)
- Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
- Location: Reading

- You are passionate about working with vulnerable young people
- You want to pursue a career in mental health or education
- You hold a GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- You can work well in a team and have excellent communication skills
- You may have previous experience with SEN or in a care/support role with young people (preferred, not essential)
What you can expect to do as a Youth mental health assistant:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in class and during interventions
- Working with students to develop healthy coping strategies and emotional safety
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality support
- Monitoring progress and reporting back to a wider team in order to provide high-quality care
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students with their daily routines
