University Guidance Counsellor Lead
Job description :
Provide strategic leadership for the university and careers guidance programme across Years 7–13, shaping a coherent vision aligned with school values.
Deliver high-quality individual university and careers counselling, supporting students in making informed and aspirational post-school decisions.
Design and review guidance pathways, including advice on subject choices, IB routes and global application processes, with particular attention to UK and US admissions.
Lead, coach and support the University Guidance Counselling team, ensuring consistent standards, clear communication and effective operational systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with global universities and external partners, representing the school and broadening opportunities for students.
Oversee the accurate tracking, reporting and communication of university applications, destinations and departmental information for internal and external audiences.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A track record of exceptional teaching experience
Capable of teaching across Secondary age group
Outstanding subject knowledge
Enthusiasm and motivation for exemplary teaching and learning
Having work experience of at least 5 years in accordance with the qualifications of the position to be applied
