  • Apply by: 30th December 2025

  • Start date: Early August 2026

We are seeking an experienced, student-centred and forward-thinking University Counsellor to become the first full-time member of Aster’s Futures Team. The ideal candidate will have experience of—or a clear understanding of—international university application processes, and the ability to guide students with confidence, empathy and clarity. This role involves leading workshops, supporting individual students, building strong relationships with families and presenting information in engaging and accessible ways.

We want to hear from teachers who:

  • Can guide students through personalised pathways, portfolio development and application processes

  • Build positive, supportive and aspirational relationships with students

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with families, including through workshops and presentations

  • Work collaboratively with leaders and the wider Secondary team

  • Are highly organised, proactive and able to lead a developing Futures programme

  • Can track, document and monitor student progress and next steps

  • Understand safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion as essential to student guidance

  • Are excited to help shape a new and growing department within a fast-moving school
