Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA), Hong Kong is now recruiting enthusiastic and committed teacher for the above position for the school year beginning August 2026:Requirements and experience:
● A related degree, preferably a Masters or postgraduate degree in counselling, education or another related field
● Previous school experience in university guidance counselling and/or university admissions, preferably at least 5 years of experience in this area
● Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively
● Expertise with the university admissions process; previous success with admission to top universities worldwide, familiarity with applications in key destinations such as US, UK, Hong Kong, Canada, and Europe
● Proven familiarity with college and university networks
● Professional relationship with organizations like NACAC or International ACAC
● Working knowledge of university admissions online platforms
● Excellent organization and time management skills
● A growth-mindset looking to continually improve and engage with school and its community on programmes related to university counselling and school activities
● Familiarity with MYP, the IB DP, and applications with a US high school diploma equivalent
● Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new cultural environment
