We are recruiting up to 7 Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join our Kent and Medway NHS Talking Therapies service on a fixed term basis. This full time training role offers a hybrid arrangement, with university training days in London and service placements across Kent.
ResponsibilitiesThe trainee will acquire therapeutic skills to support clients with common mental health difficulties, delivering low intensity Guided Self Help interventions for anxiety and depression. Tasks include:
- Providing casework with supervision
- Attending university training (2 days per week)
- Engaging in community client work (3 days per week)
- Participating in team training and meetings
- Working at least one evening shift up to 8 pm each week
Applicants must have:
- A degree or evidence of successful study at Regulated Qualifications Framework Level 6, or Level 5 if applying through the undergraduate route, along with at least one year of experience in settings with high exposure to people with mental health difficulties.
- UK passport or settled status, and the right to work in the UK without restriction.
- Eligibility for Home Fee status under Health Education England funding.
- Ability to graduate the required courses by August 2026 and commence employment on 1 September 2026.
