GSL Education are looking for a Sports Coach to work as a Learning Support Assistant at a specialist SEN Secondary School in Lincoln. This rewarding role offers a fantastic chance to combine your love for physical activity with supporting students who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with diverse needs during PE and physical activities.
- Promote teamwork, motor skills, and confidence through structured sports sessions.
- Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver engaging and inclusive physical education.
- Provide one-to-one or group support during classroom learning when required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and participation through patience and praise.
- Help with transitions and emotional regulation through movement-based interventions.
What You Need:
- Background in Sports Coaching, Physical Education, or related fields.
- Experience working with young people, ideally those with SEN.
- A positive, proactive, and empathetic attitude.
- Team Teach or similar de-escalation training is desirable (or willingness to complete it).
- A current, up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
