
Senior Specialist Pharmacist Aseptic Services
Job summary
An existing opportunity has arisen in Pharmacy Technical Services at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. We are seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Technical Services team.
You will be working in a new MHRA approved cleanroom facilities with state of the art vapourised hydrogen peroxide isolators and equipment. The service manufactures Specials products such as chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, prepacks, and other non-sterile and sterile injectable products.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will a key team member Pharmacy technical Services to provide specialist input in Specials product manufacturing. The main duties are to promote and maintain the GMP compliance in the service. You will be acting as releasing officer for the Specials products. The other main duty also include taking the lead in qualification and validation of the equipment and manufacturing processes.

- Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent
- Member of GPhC
- Diploma in relevant field

- Management or leadership courses
- MSc in relevant field of speciality

- Significant experience of working in a busy aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing unit environment (greater than 2 years).
- Minimum 4 years hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience of training pharmacists, Pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants
- Knowledge of guidance, regulations and legislation relevant to Pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, as well as environmental monitoring, cleanroom commissioning, and technology and software qualification
- oKnowledge of qualification and validation of equipment and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
Desirable
- Experience of protocol/guideline/procedure writing and development.
- Experience of managing staff and teams.
