Job summary
This role is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are part-time, 22.5 hours per week.
Are you an experienced Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist with the enthusiasm, skills, and experience to join our exciting and vibrant CPI team based in Stroud and Cirencester?
We are an experienced psychological therapy team, consisting of an 8b clinical psychologist lead and a core team of 2.4 WTE psychological therapists (consisting of clinical psychology, art psychotherapy, CBT therapists and clinical associate psychologists). We regularly have assistant psychologists, trainees and students working with us. We are passionate about providing psychological therapy for adults with severe mental health problem, and we work closely with our colleagues in the recovery teams.
We are looking for a senior psychological practitioner colleague to support the development of the Complex Psychological Therapy team and also support initiatives to develop psychologically informed interventions and environments across the mental health care system locally.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced psychological practitioner, with enthusiasm for working across multidisciplinary systems and with an adaptable approach to complex situations.
This post is open to all psychological professionals with appropriate experience and is a new post in the team at this level.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for promoting the psychological health and well-being of clients in a designated locality or team within the Trust.
To directly provide and coordinate highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention services to individuals/ groups/organisations, using a variety of applied psychology models.
To clinically supervise pre-qualified psychology staff and provide placements and supervision to Doctoral Clinical Psychology trainees and other trainees (as appropriate).
To support the development of psychologically informed practice across the recovery team and connected teams
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development
- To support the team clinical lead for the day to day running of the psychology service in the team
- To advise both service and professional management on those aspects of the service where psychological and / or wider organisational matters need addressing
- To contribute to service development initiatives being progressed in the service / team
