In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional support with their emotional wellbeing, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

This position provides practical experience working with children and young people presenting with challenges commonly encountered within mental health, educational psychology, counselling, and clinical psychology settings, including anxiety, depression, trauma,ASD , ADHD, Social, SEMH needs, and other additional learning needs.

Job Role : School Mental Health Assistant, Hemel Hempstead

Providing 1:1 support and delivering small-group interventions to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, and engagement

Building positive and trusting relationships to encourage emotional growth and resilience

Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Assisting with wellbeing and emotional regulation interventions

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to support student progress

Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting effective coping strategies

Job Requirements : School Mental Health Assistant, Hemel Hempstead

A Psychology degree or relevant educational background is desirable

Availability to work during school hours, Monday to Friday

A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
