Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Counsellor to play a key role providing high-quality, confidential counselling to pupils at St Edward's Oxford.
You will join a school community that is committed to high-quality pastoral care and the promotion of mental health. You will be part of an established team, led by our School Psychologist, and will work closely with the Pastoral Team, Health Centre, House staff, and parents.

The primary focus of this role will be one-to-one counselling, supporting pupils with their emotional wellbeing and resilience. There will also be occasional involvement in group sessions or other related tasks as appropriate.

This is a term-time only, part-time position, working 7.5 hours per week on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday - 9:00am – 5:00pm.

About you

You will be confident in assessment and offering appropriate interventions. A post-graduate Diploma or Master’s in Counselling or Psychotherapy is essential.
BACP accreditation, UKCP registration, or equivalent (e.g. BABCP, BPS) is also essential.
