Salary: £100 £200 per day (Will be paid to scale)

Support Student Wellbeing as a School Counsellor Slough
GSL Education is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced School Counsellor to join one of our partner schools in Slough. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support the emotional and mental wellbeing of students across the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group counselling sessions to students facing emotional or behavioural challenges
• Work closely with SENCOs, pastoral staff, and external agencies to support individual wellbeing plans
• Promote mental health awareness and resilience across the school
• Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding protocols
• Offer crisis support and early interventions when needed
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Relevant qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (e.g. BACP, UKCP, or equivalent)
• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or clinical setting
• A sensitive, non-judgmental, and professional approach to student support
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
