Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - New Residential Mental Health Service Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time Hours: 37.5 per week (24-hour rota) Start Date: December 2025 / January 2026 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Overview We are excited to be supporting the launch of a brand-new, purpose-built 26-bed residential mental health service opening in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire in January 2026. This new, nurse-led facility has been designed to support adults with enduring mental health conditions who no longer require hospital-level care but still need structured, recovery-focused support. The service will provide a calm, therapeutic environment where patients can regain independence and work towards community reintegration. We are now seeking Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to join the team on a permanent basis, playing a key role in shaping and delivering this new model of care. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in line with individual care plans and recovery goals. Contribute to ongoing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer prescribed medication and monitor therapeutic effectiveness. Support patients in developing independence, daily living skills, and social confidence. Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, OTs, and support staff. Actively contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise, mentor, and support junior nursing and care staff. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional standards. Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and infection control policies. Requirements NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN). Minimum 12 months' post-registration experience in adult mental health, step-down, or rehabilitation settings. Strong clinical skills and understanding of recovery-focused practice. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork.
