Contract: Permanent. Location: Aberdare. Hours per week: 15 hours (two 7.5 hour shifts Monday & Tuesday). Pay: £14.50 per hour (day rate 7am 11pm). Closing date: 20 March 2026 (advert may close earlier if many applicants).

Responsibilities
  • Supporting me with cooking and day to day household tasks.
  • Encouraging and assisting me to access the community, gym, and activities.
  • Supporting my rehabilitation by completing therapy tasks set by my multidisciplinary team.
  • Helping to plan and develop meaningful daily activities.
  • Providing positive behavioural support, including offering time and space when I become frustrated; I experience some cognitive difficulties and receive support from an occupational therapist and neuropsychologist.

You will need to respond calmly, positively, and with patience.

  • Confident in supporting rehabilitation goals
  • Flexible and able to work occasionally at short notice to cover sickness or annual leave
  • Willing to support holidays and short breaks
Essential Requirements
  • Be able to drive and have use of a car.
  • Drive the client's vehicle.
  • Have experience of supporting a person with a brain injury.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.
