Working for a leading charity who support people with mental health, drug & alcohol and housing issues, we are seeking a Recovery Worker to join their team in Penrith. This organisation is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges.
The role & responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to individuals experiencing mental health issues at the supported accommodation service, and out in the community.
- Support clients to help create support plans unique to their needs.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of client progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
- Encourage and motivate clients to engage in their recovery journey.
- Work flexibly on a 30 hour per week contract which may include weekends and working early and late shifts.
- Provide support to residents with attending appointments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting adults with mental health issues or within similar settings
- Knowledge of housing support services and community resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Car driver with access to own vehicle.
