A comprehensive range of Level 1 - Level 3 vocational programmes are offered across a wide range of curriculum areas, allowing students the opportunity to progress onto more challenging courses, including a Higher Education curriculum offer at Levels 4 & 5 (comprising HNC, HND and Foundation Degrees).You will be joining a committed team of practitioners within the Adult curriculum area of Access to Higher Education. The team are committed and driven to ensure the best experiences are given to the learners through innovative teaching and learning in a well - resourced College. The post will involve the delivery and assessment of Level 3 Psychology Units and Study Skills on the full-time Access to HE Diploma (Health Professionals, Nursing and Midwifery) programme to mostly mature students who will progress directly onto to university degrees and to Level 3 Year 2 Psychology Units on the A Level Social Sciences Pathway. The post will also involve actively participating in curriculum development, standardisation and moderation activities. Working hours: Monday 2:15pm - 3:45pmTuesday 9:30am - 12 NoonWednesday 9am - 10:30am and 2:15pm - 3:45pmMain Duties for this role include
- Teach on the specified programme at Level 3, including preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson delivery and the assessment of course work.
- Take responsibility for the setting of challenging targets and reviews of student progress.
- Participate in and to contribute to curriculum development and review, including the development and introduction of new courses.
- Liaise with external agencies, including awarding bodies.
- Take personal and professional responsibility for keeping up-to-date in the curriculum area.
- Comply with all college quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
