OverviewThe Psychologist role is based at Queensmead House School, working two days per week at the historic site overlooking Windsor Castle. The school is an independent specialist day school with a Good Ofsted rating, providing a high quality education for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical assessment, formulation and individualised therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
- Support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
- Deliver consultation, workshops, training and guidance to staff across the schools and children's homes.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure therapeutic support permeates all aspects of education, care and support.
- Participate in supervision, clinical development programmes and multidisciplinary meetings to share expertise and improve practice.
- Qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC.
- Proven skills and experience in assessing, formulating and delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
- Experience of supporting teams to create clinically informed living and learning environments.
- Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to lead and train others.
- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
