About The Role
At Place2Be, we believe that every young person should have easy access to mental health support whenever they need it. That’s why we create safe spaces in schools where young people can open up without pressure or stigma. Our highly skilled and diverse counsellors provide the compassionate, expert care that children, young people, and their families need.
We are looking for level 4 qualified, creative, and ambitious counsellors looking to make a real difference to the lives of young people. You’ll need to have experience of working in a secondary school supporting young people who may be facing complex challenges. You’ll be resilient, have high levels of emotional intelligence to be able to look after yourself as well as the young people you will be working with and be proficient in dealing with safeguarding issues.
We have multiple roles across seven secondary schools in Birmingham working with key stage 3,4 and 5 students, starting in September 2025. When you make your application, you’ll be asked to state your school preference along with preferred working hours and days.
