The Vacancy:
In the role of Occupational Health Nurse you will be responsible for carrying out a full range of nursing activities including the delivery and management of:
Immunisation Programmes
Health Screening and Surveillance
New starter screening
Conducting face-to-face, video, or telephone consultations
To work from both clinics and client sites within the area
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Work collaboratively to support the team, organisation, and company stakeholders, to facilitate the smooth continuity of service delivery.
Attend sites across different locations as directed by your line manager.
Deliver an effective, evidence based and competent level of care to clients.
Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff.
Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses and complaints are reported, monitored and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Participate in audits, making recommendations based on findings and sharing outcomes with the team for learning.
Ensure record keeping is up to date and in line with company policy, procedure and guidelines.
Actively and constructively contribute to team meetings.
Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will be:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Be trained in immunisations and phlebotomy
IT literate - competent in use of MS Office including Word and Excel
Confident, competent and highly motivated with ability to engage others
Work autonomously to meet service levels for medical screenings and consultations.
The ability to carry out a range of vaccination programmes.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Working within PGD/ Written Instruction frameworks.
Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule as well as recommendations for Health Care Workers as per The Green Book.
Understands and implements the principles of informed consent.
Awareness of cold chain processes.
Effective communication both written and verbal.
Excellent organisational and time-management
Strong Customer service and interpersonal skills
Must be able to drive
Able to work flexibly and undertake occasional travel to different sites

Salary range
- £34,000 - £35,000 per year
