Nottingham - Approved Mental Health Practitioner- EDT

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker (AMHP) to join the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to provide specialist support for Mental Health Act assessments and work alongside the EDT social work team to deliver essential out-of-hours services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen requests for Mental Health Act Assessments and prioritise cases out of hours.

• Undertake Mental Health Act Assessments to fulfil the statutory duties of the Local Authority.

• Liaise with multi-agency partners, including health and police professionals, to ensure safe and effective service delivery.

• Work autonomously while maintaining professional standards and accurate record keeping.

• Provide emergency response and intervention for individuals in crisis.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration.

• Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification (essential).

• Extensive experience completing Mental Health Act Assessments.

• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage complex, high-pressure situations.
