
Neurodiversity Workplace Strategy Coach
We are looking for an experienced Neurodiversity Workplace Coach.
The coaching role will be to deliver strategy based coaching to neurodivergent clients including but not limited to Dyslexia, DCD, Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD/Combined). It will also involve, ensuring that specific strategies are put in place to help support an employee to fully complete their job role tasks.
This could include a range of specific needs, for example, coping with anxiety and stressful situations, concentration difficulties, time management, prioritising workload and communication.
To further develop your skillset through Continuing Professional Development (CPD), keeping abreast of current and future trends and requirements to meet the job role requirements and business needs
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Awareness of the Equality Act 2010
Strong communication skills including excellent active listening skills and ability to empathise with your clients
Excellent report writing skills and ability to justify advice and recommendations when required.
Offering a tailored approach to meet individual client needs
Excellent knowledge of a range of SpLD/Neurodiverse conditions including Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, Dyscalculia, DCD/Dyspraxia, vision and hearing impairment
Experienced and comfortable with conducting remote assessments via MS Teams
Willing to work face to face if required
Good standard of IT skills
Stable internet connection
Ability to work within KPIs and Service Level agreement
Happy to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Providing flexible and inclusive Workplace Coaching focused around an employee’s job role, learning style and areas of need based upon the recommendations highlighted in the Workplace Needs Assessment.
Encouraging and supporting employees towards achieving short term, medium and long term goals.
Creating effective coaching plans.
Creating and setting goals for the following session for the employee to implement.
Reviewing progress at the beginning of each session.
Providing handouts and backup notes for an employee to revisit at point of need.
Contributing to the team resources portal regularly
Managing paperwork effectively and promptly, including uploading coaching plans to our internal database.
Participate in meetings, email, and telephone communication with internal and external customers. Provide effective communication at all times
Attending sessions in a punctual, professional and courteous manner
Ensuring confidentiality and personal boundaries are kept at all times.
Adhering to Red Flag/ Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Performing other duties and responsibilities as requested in accordance with our company values: teamwork, loyalty, friendship, enthusiasm, and hard work.
You will possess a genuine enthusiasm for working with others in a one to one basis.
The ability to take a dynamic approach for each session according to the changing needs of the individual you are supporting.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Relevant coaching qualifications.
Relevant experience and qualifications/CPD
You will have a track record of carrying out workplace coaching
You will possess an in-depth knowledge of potential challenges employees will face and be able to draw from your experience when supporting Neurodiverse customers.
Able to work around a Microsoft Platform including using Microsoft packages.
Good IT skills and the ability to use software to help with coaching.
Good time management and planning skills.
Effective communicator: Friendly, patient and encouraging.
