Mental Health Support Worker (Days)
Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
Pay: £13.45 per hour with overtime paid at £14.95 per hour
Hours: Full Time - 38.5 Hours Per Week, 7:45am - 7:45pm shifts on a two week rolling rota
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our mixed gender residential service, Brookhaven, and our male only inpatient hospital, The Hamptons, in Bamber Bridge. Brookhaven provides a safe and supportive home for males and females with enduring mental health needs, while The Hamptons provides a specialist therapeutic, recovery focused inpatient care environment for men with complex mental health needs. We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to OUTSTANDING person centred, therapeutic, recovery focused care.

- Provide person centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
- Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
- Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement.
- Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs.
- Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support.
- Promote independence, self confidence, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities.
- Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting is essential.
- Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team.
- A strong understanding of person centred, quality care.
- A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion.
- Experience of working with a range of mental health diagnosis and challenging behaviour.

Next door, The Hamptons is a 14 bed purpose built inpatient rehabilitation hospital supporting men with complex mental health needs in a secure, structured environment.
