Mental Health Support Worker Thetford/Diss
Salary Bracket from £25,800
Hours 37.5 hours per week including one day every other weekend OR 20 hours Part time hours

ARC Group are working with a well established support service recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker in the Thetford and Surrounding area.
Main purposes of job
- To follow instructions and care plans at individual settings
- Treat Service Users with respect at all times
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and Service Users
- Supporting people with mental health problems to undertake day to day activities as per support plan.
- Promoting independence and social inclusion for people with mental health through the support given to undertake day to day activities as per support plan.
- Innovatively and creatively working with service users in ways that promote recovery
- Encourage the independence and motivation of the Service User
- Support the Service Users to make informed choices
- Feedback any necessary information to the person in charge
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Taking Service Users into the community and on day trips when needed
- Providing companionship to service users, communicating effectively with them
- Protecting the confidentiality of all Service Users and Clients
- To recognise signs of abuse and immediately report through the necessary channels.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- UK experience as a support work or mental health support worker is essential
- Must be reliable
- Must be resilient and compassionate
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have access to vehicle and full UK driving licence
- Online DBS is essential
